This family of three was willing to sacrifice a small bedroom and hallway to create this Barn Wood Beauty. Combining the rooms allowed us to create a large island tons of counter space and enabled the home to have it's first dishwasher. The design oriented client added several accents of her own with pendents, wall lights and of course the Barn Wood accent all and Barn Door. Features, Hanstone Quartz Counter top, UltraCraft Cabinetry, Kohler Sink and Faucets.

This kitchen area, despite it's very large size, feels very warm and welcoming. The custom backsplash consists of handmade tiles in the shape of leaves and has an amazing effect from every angle in the room. This kitchen also successfully incorporates several distinct areas (Breakfast area, office desk, mud room) in a very homogenous and natural way. Easier said than done!

Situated in Denton, Texas these clients sought a personalized home from the ground up. It was important that their eclectic style be evidenced in every facet of the home to reflect their lively personalities. The project scope encompassed the dining, kitchen, breakfast nook, living, master bedroom, and master bathroom. Color, fixtures, furnishings, materials, artwork, and accessories were carefully selected to reflect a collective atmosphere and communicate the common theme of vibrancy. One significant challenge was the husband's fear of color. While he has an outgoing personality he did not want the home to feel loud and obnoxious. Putting him at ease was accomplished by presenting a comprehensive design plan with samples laid out so that he gained a clear understanding of how the home would flow together in harmony. This family feels unashamedly comfortable in their perfectly curated oasis. Photos by Sally Sloan of Showcase Photographers
Keen Eclectic
Freshly painted walls and cabinets make the most of the existing countertop. Now it all makes sense!
Removed the lower island and designed an attached table created from reclaimed wood and wrought iron. Painted the existing track lights and installed new fixture above the island. Knobs are from Mexico. Great makeover without breaking the wallet!
