Soft grey plaster was selected as a backdrop to the vanity and master shower. Contrasted by a deep green hue for the walls and ceiling, a cozy spa retreat was created. A corner cutout on the shower enclosure brings additional light and architectural interest to the space.

Immediately upon entering the front door of this modern remodel, you are greeted with a state-of-the-art lighted glass-front wine closet backed with quartz and wine pegs. Designed to highlight the owner’s superb worldwide wine collection and capture their travel memories, this spectacular wine closet and adjoining bar area provides the perfect serving area while entertaining family and friends. A fresh mixture of finishes, colors, and style brings new life and traditional elegance to the streamlined kitchen. The generous quartz countertop island features raised stained butcher block for the bar seating area. The drop-down ceiling is detailed in stained wood with subtle brass inlays, recessed hood, and lighting. A home addition allowed for a completely new primary bath design and layout, including a supersized walk-in shower, lighted dry sauna, soaking tub, and generous floating vanity with integrated sinks and radiant floor heating. The home’s existing master bathroom was very compartmentalized (the pretty window that you can now see over the tub was formerly tucked away in the closet!), and had a lot of oddly angled walls. We created a completely new layout, squaring off the walls in the bathroom and the wall it shared with the master bedroom, adding a double-door entry to the bathroom from the bedroom and eliminating the (somewhat strange) built-in desk in the bedroom. Moving the locations of the closet and the commode closet to the front of the bathroom made room for a massive shower and allows the light from the window that had been in the former closet to brighten the space. It also made room for the bathroom’s new focal point: the fabulous freestanding soaking tub framed by deep niche shelving. The new double-door entry shower features a linear drain, bench seating, three showerheads (two handheld and one overhead), and floor-to-ceiling tile. A floating double vanity with bookend storage towers in contrasting wood anchors the opposite wall and offers abundant storage (including two built-in hampers in the towers). Champagne bronze fixtures and honey bronze hardware complete the look of this luxurious retreat.

The master bath was designed to create a calm and serene space for the owners. The large soaking tub and steam shower are the main focal points but the floor to ceiling tile walls, suspended double vanity with tall mirrors and wall sconces are a close second. The shower curbless with zero entry clearance and a long suspended bench.
