The space was formerly two bedrooms and a cramped bathroom but now is a generous bathroom featuring ample cabinetry, storage for linens and a shower for two. The tub fill is in the ceiling and the marble floor is heated a dramatic change from the original features of this home, which was built in 1794.

We transformed an inefficient walk-in closet/bathroom into a luxury master bathroom. The walk-in closet was relocated to another area. Our customers were looking for an open concept bathroom with lots of natural light but with some privacy. This beautiful master bathroom has a custom walk in shower with half walls for privacy. View from master bedroom door/entry. 20’ vaulted ceiling dropped to 10’, matching the room’s entrance and allowing better balance and increased energy efficiency. Separate toilet room replaced by minimalistic knee wall, nearly noticeable when one enters the room. A mud tile bed throughout the entire room helped achieve the zero entry to the shower. Using a linear drain allowed the same floor tile throughout.

From 2020 to 2022 we had the opportunity to work with this wonderful client building in Altadore. We were so fortunate to help them build their family dream home. They wanted to add some fun pops of color and make it their own. So we implemented green and blue tiles into the bathrooms. The kitchen is extremely fashion forward with open shelves on either side of the hoodfan, and the wooden handles throughout. There are nodes to mid century modern in this home that give it a classic look. Our favorite details are the stair handrail, and the natural flagstone fireplace. The fun, cozy upper hall reading area is a reader’s paradise. This home is both stylish and perfect for a young busy family.
