Историческая люстра с золотистыми элементами и хрустальными кристаллами на потолке диаметром около двух метров была куплена на аукционе в Европе. Рисунок люстры перекликается с рисунком персидского ковра лежащего под ней. Чугунная печь 19 века – это настоящая печь, которая стояла на норвежском паруснике 19 века. Печь сохранилась в идеальном состоянии. С помощью таких печей обогревали каюты парусника. При наступлении холодов и до включения отопления хозяева протапливают данную печь, чугун быстро отдает тепло воздуху и гостиная прогревается.
Выразительные оконные откосы обшиты дубовыми досками с тёплой подсветкой, которая выделяет рельеф исторического кирпича. С широкого подоконника открываются прекрасные виды на зелёный сквер и размеренную жизнь исторического центра Петербурга.
В ходе проектирования компоновка гостиной неоднократно пересматривалась, но основная идея дизайна интерьера в лофтовом стиле с открытым кирпичем, бетоном, брутальным массивом, визуальное разделение зон и сохранение исторических элементов - прожила до самого конца.
Одной из наиболее амбициозных идей была присвоить часть пространства чердака, на который могла вести красивая винтовая чугунная лестница с подсветкой.
После того, как были произведены замеры чердачного пространства, было решено отказаться от данной идеи в связи с недостаточным количеством свободной площади необходимой высоты.

JRP Design & RemodelOur clients wanted the ultimate modern farmhouse custom dream home. They found property in the Santa Rosa Valley with an existing house on 3 ½ acres. They could envision a new home with a pool, a barn, and a place to raise horses. JRP and the clients went all in, sparing no expense. Thus, the old house was demolished and the couple’s dream home began to come to fruition.
The result is a simple, contemporary layout with ample light thanks to the open floor plan. When it comes to a modern farmhouse aesthetic, it’s all about neutral hues, wood accents, and furniture with clean lines. Every room is thoughtfully crafted with its own personality. Yet still reflects a bit of that farmhouse charm.
Their considerable-sized kitchen is a union of rustic warmth and industrial simplicity. The all-white shaker cabinetry and subway backsplash light up the room. All white everything complimented by warm wood flooring and matte black fixtures. The stunning custom Raw Urth reclaimed steel hood is also a star focal point in this gorgeous space. Not to mention the wet bar area with its unique open shelves above not one, but two integrated wine chillers. It’s also thoughtfully positioned next to the large pantry with a farmhouse style staple: a sliding barn door.
The master bathroom is relaxation at its finest. Monochromatic colors and a pop of pattern on the floor lend a fashionable look to this private retreat. Matte black finishes stand out against a stark white backsplash, complement charcoal veins in the marble looking countertop, and is cohesive with the entire look. The matte black shower units really add a dramatic finish to this luxurious large walk-in shower.

Haven Design and ConstructionThe expansive living room features soaring 22' ceilings and exposed structural steel beams, along with a custom designed slate fireplace wall. Our team designed the massive custom fireplace wall and selected the oversized black metal chandelier to compliment the grand scale of this space. Large scale windows highlight the mountain views of this home's terraced backyard. The living room features a large comfortable sectional sofa, an 80" TV, two oversized swivel chairs, and a grouping of four cocktail tables in the center. Neutral colors provide a soothing palette and durable fabrics were selected for this active family with pets. The living room flows seamlessly into the kitchen and breakfast areas and provides the ideal open concept space for entertaining. On the opposite side of the room, the home's open staircase and architectural entry door balance the expansive space.

Projet Wabi-sabiUn loft immense, dans un ancien garage, à rénover entièrement pour moins de 250 euros par mètre carré ! Il a fallu ruser.... les anciens propriétaires avaient peint les murs en vert pomme et en violet, aucun sol n'était semblable à l'autre.... l'uniformisation s'est faite par le choix d'un beau blanc mat partout, sols murs et plafonds, avec un revêtement de sol pour usage commercial qui a permis de proposer de la résistance tout en conservant le bel aspect des lattes de parquet (en réalité un parquet flottant de très mauvaise facture, qui semble ainsi du parquet massif simplement peint). Le blanc a aussi apporté de la luminosité et une impression de calme, d'espace et de quiétude, tout en jouant au maximum de la luminosité naturelle dans cet ancien garage où les seules fenêtres sont des fenêtres de toit qui laissent seulement voir le ciel. La salle de bain était en carrelage marron, remplacé par des carreaux émaillés imitation zelliges ; pour donner du cachet et un caractère unique au lieu, les meubles ont été maçonnés sur mesure : plan vasque dans la salle de bain, bibliothèque dans le salon de lecture, vaisselier dans l'espace dinatoire, meuble de rangement pour les jouets dans le coin des enfants. La cuisine ne pouvait pas être refaite entièrement pour une question de budget, on a donc simplement remplacé les portes blanches laquées d'origine par du beau pin huilé et des poignées industrielles. Toujours pour respecter les contraintes financières de la famille, les meubles et accessoires ont été dans la mesure du possible chinés sur internet ou aux puces. Les nouveaux propriétaires souhaitaient un univers industriels campagnard, un sentiment de maison de vacances en noir, blanc et bois. Seule exception : la chambre d'enfants (une petite fille et un bébé) pour laquelle une estrade sur mesure a été imaginée, avec des rangements en dessous et un espace pour la tête de lit du berceau. Le papier peint Rebel Walls à l'ambiance sylvestre complète la déco, très nature et poétique.
Ann Lowengart InteriorsThe three-level Mediterranean revival home started as a 1930s summer cottage that expanded downward and upward over time. We used a clean, crisp white wall plaster with bronze hardware throughout the interiors to give the house continuity. A neutral color palette and minimalist furnishings create a sense of calm restraint. Subtle and nuanced textures and variations in tints add visual interest. The stair risers from the living room to the primary suite are hand-painted terra cotta tile in gray and off-white. We used the same tile resource in the kitchen for the island's toe kick.
Pineapple House Interior DesignWith an outstanding view of the pool and the wetlands, the great room is purposely void of a television. To the left, a stone fireplace is featured against a massive wall with display shelves and a floor-to-ceiling column of touch-latch storage. This stained wall is a wonderful exhibit of rift sawn lumber, which is milled perpendicular to the growth rings, yielding a tight, linear grain with no flecking.

Jane EllisonThis home in Napa off Silverado was rebuilt after burning down in the 2017 fires. Architect David Rulon, a former associate of Howard Backen, are known for this Napa Valley industrial modern farmhouse style. White Sands Coastal DevelopmentThis 5,200-square foot modern farmhouse is located on Manhattan Beach’s Fourth Street, which leads directly to the ocean. A raw stone facade and custom-built Dutch front-door greets guests, and customized millwork can be found throughout the home. The exposed beams, wooden furnishings, rustic-chic lighting, and soothing palette are inspired by Scandinavian farmhouses and breezy coastal living. The home’s understated elegance privileges comfort and vertical space. To this end, the 5-bed, 7-bath (counting halves) home has a 4-stop elevator and a basement theater with tiered seating and 13-foot ceilings. A third story porch is separated from the upstairs living area by a glass wall that disappears as desired, and its stone fireplace ensures that this panoramic ocean view can be enjoyed year-round.
This house is full of gorgeous materials, including a kitchen backsplash of Calacatta marble, mined from the Apuan mountains of Italy, and countertops of polished porcelain. The curved antique French limestone fireplace in the living room is a true statement piece, and the basement includes a temperature-controlled glass room-within-a-room for an aesthetic but functional take on wine storage.
