Westlake Hills: Living Room

A modern-contemporary home that boasts a cool, urban style. Each room was decorated somewhat simply while featuring some jaw-dropping accents. From the bicycle wall decor in the dining room to the glass and gold-based table in the breakfast nook, each room had a unique take on contemporary design (with a nod to mid-century modern design). Designed by Sara Barney’s BANDD DESIGN, who are based in Austin, Texas and serving throughout Round Rock, Lake Travis, West Lake Hills, and Tarrytown. The distinguishing trait of the I Naturali series is soil. A substance which on the one hand recalls all things primordial and on the other the possibility of being plied. As a result, the slab made from the ceramic lends unique value to the settings it clads.

First we changed the rug situation to a simple large jute rug from Annie Selke, and a smaller antique Persian rug to center the main seating area. We traded the single long RH teal velvet sofa for two matching smaller neutral linen bench-style sofas from Williams Sonoma Home, and framed seating in a square around the overscale original fireplace, which we had sandblasted during the renovation. We kept the Mies van der Rohe glass X-style coffee table and added in two comfy vintage easy chairs recovered in a cheery red/coral - based toile in a Chinoiserie theme, two John Derian for Cisco Homes mushroom stools, and two additional seating areas in the rear corners of the room -- a Victorian armchair and ottoman, and a smaller red leather wing chair to balance out the room.

We Feng Shui'ed, designed and restored this glorious great room in a Colonial Revival home on the North Shore of Boston. The original elements were incredible: an inglenook fireplace, huge beams, a giant clock from a train station in Watertown, MA, huge windows, original hardwood floors, and a sliding glass door overlooking the backyard. We wanted to update and refresh the space, and inject our homeowners' sense of casual fun and color. A huge oriental rug from Pottery Barn tied the color scheme together, along with leather club chairs and a huge leather Chesterfield sofa. The family gathers here for games, movies, and general relaxation in front of the fireplace. 1930s ski posters add a travel element, and the huge scale furniture is befitting of so grand a space.

Moroccan interior design looks luxurious and exotic. In this project we paid attention to details, added original Moroccan furniture to the rooms and then combined them with rich colors of Moroccan decor to create unique appeal of ethnic decorating style. Moroccan Interior Decors are a creative blend of African, Arab, and Mediterranean decorating style. Moroccan decor includes ethnic motifs and decoration patterns that have been absorbed from different cultures.
