Greey PickettThe landscape of this home honors the formality of Spanish Colonial / Santa Barbara Style early homes in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. By re-grading the lot and allowing for terraced opportunities, we featured a variety of hardscape stone, brick, and decorative tiles that reinforce the eclectic Spanish Colonial feel. Cantera and La Negra volcanic stone, brick, natural field stone, and handcrafted Spanish decorative tiles are used to establish interest throughout the property.
A front courtyard patio includes a hand painted tile fountain and sitting area near the outdoor fire place. This patio features formal Boxwood hedges, Hibiscus, and a rose garden set in pea gravel.
The living room of the home opens to an outdoor living area which is raised three feet above the pool. This allowed for opportunity to feature handcrafted Spanish tiles and raised planters. The side courtyard, with stepping stones and Dichondra grass, surrounds a focal Crape Myrtle tree.
One focal point of the back patio is a 24-foot hand-hammered wrought iron trellis, anchored with a stone wall water feature. We added a pizza oven and barbecue, bistro lights, and hanging flower baskets to complete the intimate outdoor dining space.

| SPIRAL ARCHITECTS |The Cocktail Courtyard is accessed via sliding doors which retract into the exterior walls of the dining room. The courtyard features a stone corner fireplace, antique french limestone fountain basin, and chicago common brick in a traditional basketweave pattern. A stone stairway leads to guest suites on the second floor of the residence, and the courtyard benefits from a wonderfully intimate view out into the native desert, looking out to the Reatta Wash, and McDowell Mountains beyond.

building Lab, inc.Eichler in Marinwood - At the larger scale of the property existed a desire to soften and deepen the engagement between the house and the street frontage. As such, the landscaping palette consists of textures chosen for subtlety and granularity. Spaces are layered by way of planting, diaphanous fencing and lighting. The interior engages the front of the house by the insertion of a floor to ceiling glazing at the dining room.
Jog-in path from street to house maintains a sense of privacy and sequential unveiling of interior/private spaces. This non-atrium model is invested with the best aspects of the iconic eichler configuration without compromise to the sense of order and orientation.

Fratantoni Interior DesignersFrench Villa features an outdoor patio space that consists of comfy patio seating for seven in black iron sofas and chairs with cream cushions. Decorated with black and white throw pillows and two coffee tables centers the space. A built-in fireplace acts as the focal point of the space. A freestanding console table sits behind the seating area for added decor & storage. Space overlooks the pool and staircase leading to rooftop.
Desert Star ConstructionThis spectacular stone structure is the epitome of Mediterranean style housing. With a stone staircase leading from the patio to the second story balcony and the theme of stepping stones carried throughout the lawn, this home is truly a work of art. Carefully placed wrought iron light fixtures provide soft lighting around the area while wide windows and French doors allow the glow of interior light to spill forth into the night. A fire burns in the stone fireplace beneath a covered area of the patio where comfortable seating is placed for relaxation and protection from the desert elements.
