We created a bespoke desk made from mahogany and with a leather inlay for this study. Two swivel armchairs sit in front of the desk with additional armchairs for meetings. The original panelling has been preserved, and could not be touched, so all the furniture is free-standing, including the bespoke bookcases and fishtank. The chandelier is an antique that belongs to the client and the rug has cut outs to accommodate the floor sockets.

Third-time repeat clients loved our work so much, they hired us to design their Ohio home instead of recruiting a local Ohio designer. All work was done remotely except for an initial meeting for site measure and initial consult, and then a second flight for final installation. All 6,000 square feet was decorated head to toe by J Hill Interiors, Inc., as well as new paint and lighting.

Dion Seminara Architecture
The proposal included an extension to the rear of the home and a period renovation of the classic heritage architecture of the existing home. The features of Glentworth were retained, it being a heritage home being a wonderful representation of a classic early 1880s Queensland timber colonial residence.
The site has a two street frontage which allowed showcasing the period renovation of the outstanding historical architectural character at one street frontage (which accords with the adjacent historic Rosalie townscape) – as well as a stunning contemporary architectural design viewed from the other street frontage.
The majority of changes were made to the rear of the house, which cannot be seen from the Rosalie Central Business Area.
