Family Room

New Family room space as viewed from the breakfast room. This is the amalgamation of three existing spaces: a small vestibule, exterior recessed rear porch and the old TV room to the left. After demolishing walls and reconstructing others, formed this space with new windows, doors and custom cabinetry for the media center. French doors lead out to the Sunroom. Abundant natural light and views out into the garden. Recessed lighting with accent adjustable small floods illuminate the media center. Compact desk space for homework. Oak flooring installed to match the rest of the house.

The Kristin Entertainment center has been everyone's favorite at Mallory Park, 15 feet long by 9 feet high, solid wood construction, plenty of storage, white oak shelves, and a shiplap backdrop.

This is the 'comfy lounge' - in contrast to the family room this one is calm, it is peaceful and it is not a place for toys! The neutral tones and textures in here are a delight and the colour is subtle, shaded and tonal rather than bold and pop like. You can kick of your shoes and grab a cuppa in here thats for sure.

This family room was updated with a custom media built-in to store kids toys and keep the media organized. The walls were painted Benjamin Moore Balboa Mist, and white cabinets received matte black hardware and coastal rope sconces. Custom cushions were added to serve as a reading nook for the kids (but mostly, the dog sleeps there). Driftwood, succulents and air plants give texture and add life to this space. Light oak shelves are styled with beachy decor.

The homeowner provided us an inspiration photo for this built in electric fireplace with shiplap, shelving and drawers. We brought the project to life with Fashion Cabinets white painted cabinets and shelves, MDF shiplap and a Dimplex Ignite fireplace.

Hiding all the family games, paperwork and gubbins these bespoke designed shelves and cabinetry are painted in Basalt by Little Greene, hiding the TV. Styling is key to the open shelving
