Front yard make-over. Building on existing elements (Palm trees) we removed a lot of outgrown and outdated material and freshened up the patio borders with colorful canna's, various bromeliads, Alocasia California, and a fresh layer of mulch and landscape pebbles. Landscape boulders break up the lines and specimen Bromeliads provide touches of interest.

Concrete pavers set in gravel. This front garden with low-water Mediterranean plants in shades of green replaced a thisty lawn and beautifully complements the transitional style home. New concrete pavers provide a clear, attractive entry as well as “landing spots” along the the driveway.

Even smaller front yards can be beautifully landscaped. Beds created from brick pavers and filled with dark mulch have been filled with a variety of plants adding color, texture, and interest to the front of this home.

A small stone patio with fire pit sits next to the water. The stone walkway is carefully used to tie the garden to the residence across the street. This is a unique seaside, low maintenance garden. Drought resistant and salt friendly plantings were used throughout. This garden has become the focus of the neighborhood with many visitors stopping and enjoying what has become a neighborhood landmark. Located on the shores of Puget Sound in Washington State. Perennial color is of course the most popular as the investment pays dividends as time goes on. Annual color then is trustworthy, filling the void between successive perennial blooms and providing consistent color throughout the summer.
