Modern-Shed
The client added a nice picnic table and outdoor seating for their guests. The shed consists of a bedroom, a small office and a bathroom. Here's a view from the main house.
Cowart Door Systems
A simple single layer of painted T&G boards compliments, but does not compete with the many architectural features of this fine Austin home.
keter
Its steel-reinforced polypropylene resin construction makes for an incredibly sturdy, weather-resistant structure. The Keter Factor 6x3 shed is designed to prevent fading and whitening from the sun's UV rays and retain its original color for years to come. It stands up to even the worst weather, from heavy snow to high-speed winds. Its waterproof construction ensures that your belongings stay dry during thunderstorms, blizzards, and other inclement weather conditions.
Cushman Design Group
What is not to yearn for about designing and building a barn? Our client, sophisticated and educated about architecture, had a man cave/away type of place in mind when he commissioned us to design a barn to complement his family’s Vermont home. There would be room enough for dry storage for a pair of preserved Mercedes, a small utility tractor, all manner of garden and yard tools and equipment, along with a generous and reconfigurable woodworking shop. In the loft, accessed via a comfortable stairway, a craft studio is tucked within a shed dormer with fantastic mountain views, and a rustic lounge area is snuggled in by the warmth of a wood stove. “Just about perfect” we were told. Yearning fulfilled!
Kraft Custom Construction
The homeowner of this old, detached garage wanted to create a functional living space with a kitchen, bathroom and second-story bedroom, while still maintaining a functional garage space. We salvaged hickory wood for the floors and built custom fir cabinets in the kitchen with patchwork tile backsplash and energy efficient appliances. As a historical home but without historical requirements, we had fun blending era-specific elements like traditional wood windows, French doors, and wood garage doors with modern elements like solar panels on the roof and accent lighting in the stair risers. In preparation for the next phase of construction (a full kitchen remodel and addition to the main house), we connected the plumbing between the main house and carriage house to make the project more cost-effective. We also built a new gate with custom stonework to match the trellis, expanded the patio between the main house and garage, and installed a gas fire pit to seamlessly tie the structures together and provide a year-round outdoor living space.
Alitex Glasshouses
Our client chose Alitex because she felt we were the best, not only in terms of aesthetic but in the quality of the materials, the build and in our attention to detail, culminating in the perfect growing environment.
Her greenhouse creates the perfect growing environment for tropical plants. Our external greenhouse shades prevent her plants from being scorched in the height of summer, and a heating system installed for the winter keeps the temperature steady.
Restoration By Regina
This little garage was used as a small parking area with bike shop and wood working shop back in the 1940's & 50's.
Alitex Glasshouses
The Wimpole greenhouse was the instinctive choice for our client. It was the first addition to their vegetable garden when they started renovating it, and designed the raised planters and beds around it. Our client chose Wood Sage powder coating, for it’s soft and neutral tones.
