Amber Freda Garden Design
Check out the amazing skyline views from this roof deck in Brooklyn heights. We chose hardy, low maintenance plantings that would complement the view, rather than compete with it. Our design included a mix of high contrast black and white planters in a mix of straight lines and sphere shapes. The plantings can all withstand full sun and windy conditions and include river birches, ornamental grasses, and boxwoods. See more of our projects at www.amberfreda.com.
Native Edge Landscape
After their brand new construction was completed, this family had a beautiful and comfortable home that truly fit their needs. However, this new construction lacked an outdoor living space, which left the backyard feeling stark and bare. With this blank slate, we were able to create a relaxing environment for this family to enjoy.
Faced with the challenge of using every square-inch of this small space, Native Edge was able to design a landscape that left this family worry-free. We incorporated a low maintenance composite decking system, modern raised metal planters, and a bubbling urn water feature to tie this peaceful landscape together. The poor drainage of the lot gave us the opportunity to create a striking cat walk and drainage feature, which left ample room for their vegetable and herb garden hobby. There is even a nook for the family dog to enjoy!

Vertikal Micro Outdoor is a charming, decorative garden accent combining a slender, distinct, and resilient stand with a Cell Micro Tabletop Fireburner, a boldly contemporary combination resulting in a dramatic fire feature, as well as an optional terrarium.
Primarily functioning as an alternative light fixture, with the use of a 13oz can of Fuel, this daring and durable outdoor piece can also easily be transformed into a terrarium to accommodate plants and flowers. Simply remove the fuel can and turn the Cell Micro upside down, using its base as a foundation for a variety of foliage as well as for rock gardens and pillar candles.
For a unique and inspiring garden feature, alternate a row of symmetrically arranged Vertikal Micro Outdoor fireburners with a row of Vertikal Micro Outdoor terrariums along a courtyard walkway or a garden pathway.
