All new xeric, low water plantings and planting beds. Walls were faced with stucco and brick to match the home, and capped with dimensionally cut flagstone. Multi-color river rock and granite boulders bring us back to the mountains and provide more texture in these beds.

Updated landscape to address lack of curb appeal in neighborhood. This landscape creates flow and interest throughout the property. A rock garden was installed in the back yard to address erosion and drainage issues at end of the back area.

For this garden project, we created a simple yet elegant pathway using three distinct but complementary earthen colors and textures. The pebbles and flat stones match the home’s multicolored brickwork walls. We added contrast with black soil and river rock. We planted small compact plants around this pathway which won’t create too much shade or hinder the view. The gently curving design leading to another part of the property arouses the viewer’s curiosity.

Backyard makeover. Building on existing elements (Palm trees) we removed a lot of outgrown and outdated material and freshened up the patio borders with colorful canna's, various bromeliads, Alocasia California, and a fresh layer of mulch and landscape pebbles. Specimen Bromeliads provide touches of interest.

I planted mainly perennials with year round summer. The read of the garden is part shade so we planted up lots of shade loving plants with difference textures. The top of the garden is in full sun and is an explosion of colour with a colour palette of maroon, purple, pink, blue and contrasting yellow

From the street, a round rock pathway leads to a small seating area next to the water with a small fire pit. Low maintenance, drought resistant and salt tolerant plantings were used in mass and clumps. This garden has become the focus of the neighborhood with many visitors stopping and enjoying what has become a neighborhood landmark. Located on the shores of Puget Sound in Washington State.
