Our client contacted us wanting to create a relatively maintenance free yard that focuses on relaxing family time spent in the sun as opposed to yard work. We designed and built the project utilizing synthetic grass, aggregate bedding and wonderful paving stone patio with a large cedar privacy pergola as the main focal point. Lighting & concrete edging along with step stones finished off this stunning project!!
Native Edge Landscape
A steeply graded front yard is transformed with a beautiful custom meandering staircase down to the front entry that provides a true sense of arrival as it lulls guests through the landscape, allows for enjoyment of the space, and helps ease runoff flowing toward the house. Planted with beautiful natives and dressed with Texas hardwood mulch, large chunk blackstar gravel, and accented with limestone boulders excavated from the site, this blend of hardscape captivates the eye, adding visual interest all year 'round. A custom, contemporary metal hand railing adds a touch of modernity and a ton of safety, while the stairs themselves visually marry to the stone of the front porch. Landscape lighting accents the hardscape and landscape of this project while providing safe lighting for maneuvering the stairway at night, and extended enjoyment of the entire property.
Harry Holding Studio
The front garden for an innovative property in Fulham Cemetery - the house featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs in January 2021. The design had to enhance the relationship with the bold, contemporary architecture and open up a dialogue with the wild green space beyond its boundaries. Seen here in the height of summer, this space is an immersive walk through a naturalistic and pollinator rich planting scheme.

Adorned with show-stopping curb appeal, this custom landscape design enhances the beauty of the home’s architecture by adding the perfect balance of trees, shrubs, textures, and plant groupings. The brick walkway is lined with low shrubs between a lush green lawn and vibrant green Pyramidal Boxwoods.

Дорожки покрыты вспененной резиной (как и покрытие детской площадки). В доме четверо маленьких детей и мама боялась, что жесткие покрытия могут быть травмоопасны.

Our client wanted to do their own project but needed help with designing and the construction of 3 walls and steps down their very sloped side yard as well as a stamped concrete patio. We designed 3 tiers to take care of the slope and built a nice curved step stone walkway to carry down to the patio and sitting area. With that we left the rest of the "easy stuff" to our clients to tackle on their own!!!

The music of falling water from this medium wall fountain makes for a soothing environment.

Installing the step lights took some consideration and preparation. Chris, our install crew leader, built a wood frame to hold where the fixtures would go and then placed it around the steps before they poured the concrete. It turned out great and made the installation go much smoother than waiting until after the concrete was already in place to then drill, cut, and wire it all.
