After extensive interviews with both our clients and their daughter, they needed a reprieve and a way to better connect and enjoy their time as a family. Their daughter wanted a pond with fish. The parents wanted a camp-ground to take the vacations they never could. Finally patio space was needed to enjoy their extended family.

Can you believe that this pond uses less water than the lawn that stood before it?! Well believe it! This gorgeous pond, waterfall and landscape actually uses less water than that old lawn!
Here’s a project where the client traded in their old ugly lawn for a beautiful pond, waterfall and low maintenance stunning succulents and drought tolerant landscape with synthetic turf.
Not only does the client use a fraction of the water since the renovation, it is now super low maintenance! This is the family’s favorite spot to relax and enjoy any part of the day! If you are considering remodeling your yard either to save money on your water bill or just help conserve water in this tough drought, consider changing your yard into a livable and guilt free paradise with a sustainable water feature!

Once an eyesore, the rock outcrop is now a cascading waterfall rock garden replete with drought tolerant and native perennials, and small shrubs. Six varieties of tall and creeping Sedum, a succulent stonecrop, take root in crevices and soften the jagged edges of the rock wall. The gardens received the Penny Jarvis Lovely Garden Award from the CT Federation of Garden Clubs in 2015.

We build our ponds to work with mother nature, not against her. By doing so, we have less pond maintenance, allowing us to enjoy the benefits of the pond instead of having to work on the pond. By constructing your water feature to perform as an ecosystem, nature is at the heart of the water cycle, not man. As a result, the root systems of pond plants filter the water, natural bacteria breaks down organic matter and pond fish eat the algae. No chemicals or other devices, just nature, doing what nature does best.

This is a final project installation picture of the landscape renovation project. This picture shows the detail of the stamped concrete driveway with paver accent border. This project entailed demo of the koi pond, driveway, and walkways. The project scope included replacing removed concrete with pavers for a new patio area. We also incorporated a paver walkway that tied into the patio. The koi pond was completely redone with weathered limestone, and finally the driveway asphalt was replaced with stamped concrete with paver accent bordering the outside edges
