GLORIA & BRIAN OLIVER

Objectives Gloria and Bryan decided on an extension to their home and increase the size of the kitchen as part of that. The larger space would be more reflective of the rest of the property and in balance with their home. The extension would offer great views of the countryside, and although it was not to be their principle dining space was important to include a seating area, increase storage, functionality and to be in keeping with the rest of the property. What We Did Gloria and Bryan chose a traditional painted sage in frame door style from Burbidge called Tetbury. We enhanced the main focal points of the design ( hob, sink and seating area) with breakfronts incorporating curved pilasters. Traditional cornice and pelmet details, stainless steel cup handles, Tongue and grooved panels and Georgian framed glass doors all enhanced the design. Clever storage solutions through out the kitchen with 150 mm wide base pull-outs, 600 mm wide Tandem larder fitting and a Le mans corner to name a few. The design was completed with 30 mm Black Pearl granite work surfaces and up stands, a black glass splash back and wood effect Karndean flooring. A flyover shelf with LED lighting over the window, nicely framed the view and by not having wall units on the left hand side of the kitchen kept the space feeling as open a possible. The Kitchen incorporates a full range of appliances all neatly integrated with in the design. The Result The finished result is a sleek classic timeless kitchen full of modern features which sits beautifully in its setting and complements the rest of the clients much loved home.
