Architects Modern
This mid-century modern home was designed by the architect Charles Goodman in 1950. Janet Bloomberg, a KUBE partner, completely renovated it, retaining but enhancing the spirit of the original home. None of the rooms were relocated, but the house was opened up and restructured, and fresh finishes and colors were introduced throughout. A new powder room was tucked into the space of a hall closet, and built-in storage was created in every possible location - not a single square foot is left unused. Existing mechanical and electrical systems were replaced, creating a modern home within the shell of the original historic structure. Floor-to-ceiling glass in every room allows the outside to flow seamlessly with the interior, making the small footprint feel substantially larger. all, photos: Greg Powers Photography

Last Detail Interior Design
The floors were redone in a modern soft gray/brown so that the color scheme of blues/grays/whites could work. Existing upholstered pieces were reupholstered in white with navy piping. We blended some of the owners antiques with modern pieces such as the acrylic Moroccan style table that serves it's purpose without taking up too much visual space.
Absolute Project Management
The bright living space with large Crittal patio doors, parquet floor and pink highlights make the room a warm and inviting one. Midcentury modern furniture is used, adding a personal touch, along with the nod to the clients love of music in the guitar and speaker. A large amount of greenery is dotted about to add life to the space, with the bright colours making the space cheery and welcoming.

Acorn Deck House Company
The HingeHouse, designed by Maryann Thompson Architects and fabricated by Acorn Deck House Company, is open and flexible. The wings of the home are customizable based on need and connected by a central “hinge,” which essentially becomes an outdoor living space. The featured HingeHouse has two wings of living space and a hinge that includes an outdoor fireplace and sitting area.
