Lori Dennis, ASID, LEED APA light filled basement complete with a Home Bar and Game Room. Beyond the Pool Table and Ping Pong Table, the floor to ceiling sliding glass doors open onto an outdoor sitting patio.
Annette Jaffe InteriorsThis 4,500 sq ft basement in Long Island is high on luxe, style, and fun. It has a full gym, golf simulator, arcade room, home theater, bar, full bath, storage, and an entry mud area. The palette is tight with a wood tile pattern to define areas and keep the space integrated. We used an open floor plan but still kept each space defined. The golf simulator ceiling is deep blue to simulate the night sky. It works with the room/doors that are integrated into the paneling — on shiplap and blue. We also added lights on the shuffleboard and integrated inset gym mirrors into the shiplap. We integrated ductwork and HVAC into the columns and ceiling, a brass foot rail at the bar, and pop-up chargers and a USB in the theater and the bar. The center arm of the theater seats can be raised for cuddling. LED lights have been added to the stone at the threshold of the arcade, and the games in the arcade are turned on with a light switch.

Pineapple House Interior DesignThe terrace was an unfinished space with load-bearing columns in traffic areas. We add eight “faux” columns and beams to compliment and balance necessary existing ones. The new columns and beams hide structural necessities, and as shown with this bar, they help define different areas. This is needed so they help deliver the needed symmetry. The columns are wrapped in mitered, reclaimed wood and accented with steel collars around their crowns, thus becoming architectural elements.
Everything HomeThis basement remodeling project involved transforming a traditional basement into a multifunctional space, blending a country club ambience and personalized decor with modern entertainment options.
In this living area, a rustic fireplace with a mantel serves as the focal point. Rusty red accents complement tan LVP flooring and a neutral sectional against charcoal walls, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.

Richmond Hill Design + BuildExtraordinary renovation of this waterfront retreat on Lake Cherokee! Situated on almost 1 acre and over 300 feet of coveted water frontage in a quiet cul-de-sac in Huguenot Farms, this 3 bedroom 3 bath home boasts stunning views of the lake as soon as you walk into the foyer. To the left is the dining room that connects to the kitchen and leads into a private office through a pocket door. The well-appointed kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel Frigidaire appliances, two-toned cabinetry, an 8’ x 4’ island with farmhouse sink and view overlooking the lake and unique bar area with floating shelves and beverage cooler. Normandy RemodelingThe kitchenette is the perfect place for snacks and popcorn for movie nights, not to mention ample storage for whatever your beverage of choice may be.
Just BasementsThe use of bulkhead details throughout the space allows for further division between the office, music, tv and games areas. The wall niches, lighting, paint and wallpaper, were all choices made to draw the eye around the space while still visually linking the separated areas together.
