This lovely escritoire writing desk (model OC 2805) is a sophisticated writing desk featuring hinged top, decorative carved panel, leather hand-tooled skiver, drawers and cable management.
This is a signature collectors piece form Old Charm.
There is a choice of colour finishes: Light Oak, Tudor Brown, Vintage, Chestnut and Fumed Oak.
Each of these colours are available in both traditional and heritage finishes. Heritage gives an additional dimension to the furniture with light distressing that reflects the passage of time and promotes the most authentic reproduction of the period.

We decided to keep the room very symmetrical to create a strong presence of stability especially since day-to-day work life can be so hectic. We also wanted the art for this space to be calm which can become an escape from the daily grind.

Our client asked us to turn this spare bedroom into a functional, sophisticated study. We wanted to incorporate our client's existing furniture, so we focused on finding the rest of the furnishings in a deep, espresso-colored wood. Once we had the larger pieces all set and ready to go, we worked in the new artwork, window treatments, accessories, and decor - which all beautifully contrasted against the darker wood and added some major character!

When our client came to us, she was stumped with how to turn her small living room into a cozy, useable family room. The living room and dining room blended together in a long and skinny open concept floor plan. It was difficult for our client to find furniture that fit the space well. It also left an awkward space between the living and dining areas that she didn’t know what to do with. She also needed help reimagining her office, which is situated right off the entry. She needed an eye-catching yet functional space to work from home.
In the living room, we reimagined the fireplace surround and added built-ins so she and her family could store their large record collection, games, and books. We did a custom sofa to ensure it fits the space and maximized the seating. We added texture and pattern through accessories and balanced the sofa with two warm leather chairs. We updated the dining room furniture and added a little seating area to help connect the spaces. Now there is a permanent home for their record player and a cozy spot to curl up in when listening to music.
For the office, we decided to add a pop of color, so it contrasted well with the neutral living space. The office also needed built-ins for our client’s large cookbook collection and a desk where she and her sons could rotate between work, homework, and computer games. We decided to add a bench seat to maximize space below the window and a lounge chair for additional seating.

Everything Home
We gave this home a nature-meets-adventure look. We wanted the rooms to feel finished, inviting, flow together, and have character, so we chose a palette of blues, greens, woods, and stone with modern metal touches.

This home office serves as a work station, craft room, library and guest bedroom all rolled into one. We opted for custom white cabinetry that wrapped the room with an integrated murphy bed. The white oak desk spans the length of the window to maximize the natural light.

A neutral office composes this wonderful office design. Blacks, whites and beige set the tone for a light, bright, and airy home office perfect for those who work for home or those who just need space to study. A custom built in serves the purpose for both function with an abundance of storage on top and below but also is aesthetically pleasing. Inspirational quotes line the walls and fill in the built in for added decor. A pop of green and the area rug from Urban Outfitters gives this space the modern bohemian vibe.

Gorgeously crafted in a white high gloss, the Mia modern office desk is another lovely additon to the J&M Office Collection. This office desk features a smoked grey glass leg for an eyecatching design, and 2 drawers with soft closing tracks for storage. The design of this desk allows for the drawer to be easily reversed on either side, and the length can be adjusted as well.
