House at the Oregon Coast

The south side of the living room is a Rumford fireplace, with a Douglas Fir mantle and pine cabinets. The face & hearth is quarry tile that matches the tile in the kitchen. The ceiling is built in a wood vault with battens like a traditional boat. The living room is separated from the kitchen with a plaster arch.
