Our clients love the look of soapstone countertops but didn't want the maintenance of them, so we found a soapstone-like dark granite instead. White painted cabinets with a pewter glaze provide contrast. For the backsplash, subway tiles with a rustic, hand-crafted look are highlighted with a dark-colored grout.
