Bedwardine Road is our epic renovation and extension of a vast Victorian villa in Crystal Palace, south-east London.
Traditional architectural details such as flat brick arches and a denticulated brickwork entablature on the rear elevation counterbalance a kitchen that feels like a New York loft, complete with a polished concrete floor, underfloor heating and floor to ceiling Crittall windows.
Interiors details include as a hidden “jib” door that provides access to a dressing room and theatre lights in the master bathroom.

Creating charm in this 1920's home was the main focus for this reno. We turned an outdated bathroom that hadn't been updated in decades into a welcoming space for guests and children for this growing family.
Imperfect Interiors
The loft bathroom was kept simple with geometric grey and white tiles on the floor and continuing up the wall in the shower. The Velux skylight and pitch of the ceiling meant that the glass shower enclosure had to be made to measure.

Contemporary take on a traditional family bathroom mixing classic style bathroom furniture from Burlington with encaustic cement hexagon floor tiles and a bright blue on the walls. Metro tiles laid in chevron formation on the walls and bath panel make the bathroom relevant and stylish

Marble penny tile, classic white subway tile and marble bull nose kept enhanced the heritage of the home while maximizing the money spent on updating this heavily used bathroom.

This New York bathroom features gray tiled walls and floor. The white veining and accessories brighten up the space. Clean lines and a square toilet give the room a modern feel.
Chi Renovation & Design
The aim of this kid’s bathroom was to go with a high-intensity, low maintenance look. To keep this space fun, we used bright, eclectic colors, such as the blue tile, that would contrast nicely with glistening white, high-quality European tile.
Project designed by Skokie renovation firm, Chi Renovation & Design. They serve the Chicagoland area, and it's surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on the North Side and North Shore. Built in the early 1900s, this brownstone’s 83-square-foot bathroom had seen better days. Upgrades like a furniture-style vanity and oil-rubbed bronze faucetry preserve its vintage feel while adding modern functionality.

As a nod to the mountain location, we custom designed this woodland creature print and made a roman shade with a curved detail on the bottom to give the space character. The beautiful farm style console sink modernized the plumbing but maintained the cottage aesthetic of the bath. Photo by Jeff Herr Photography.
