The main bathroom has a feature wall of hot lips. The remainder of the room is tiled in white satin Alabaster ceramic tiles. For a touch of fun the windows have etched cut outs which allow light in but also provide privacy. Adam Carter Photography & Philippa Spearing Styling

Dark and lacking functionality, this hard working hall bathroom in Great Falls, VA had to accommodate the needs of both a teenage boy and girl. Custom cabinetry, new flooring with underlayment heat, all new bathroom fixtures and additional lighting make this a bright and practical space. Exquisite blue arabesque tiles, crystal adornments on the lighting and faucets help bring this utilitarian space to an elegant room. Designed by Laura Hildebrandt of Interiors By LH, LLC. Design by: Bill Tweten, CKD, CBD Photo by: Robb SIverson www.robbsiverson.com A small bath is visually enlarged with the use of a light Fawn stain on maple wood, this lighter stain helps brighten the bath and creates a spacious feeling. Using a Regent door style adds to the sleek contemporary look and keeps the cabinets free of complex details that would otherwise give the cabinets a heavy look. Smooth polished chrome pulls with a small curve are used on the cabinets and coordinate with all the other metal elements used in the bath to give a cohesive look all around.

White and blue are a classic design combination and we felt done in this fresh way made this room work for the children and family guests. The dark blue glass tile is a fun accent but will look classic for years. The colourful accessories are perfect for the children and are contemporary enough to appeal to adults as well. White tiles, fixtures and cabinetry makes this space feel larger than it’s actual footprint. The white also helps keep it light and airy. Additional lighting was added in the tub area for evening tub time and showers too. The built-in niche keeps essentials handy. The additional counter space and cabinet add storage as well. The mirror can even be tilted so little faces can brush their own hair. john trigiani photography

Our client didn't want the traditional shampoo niche, so with the herringbone tile walls, we added this after market soap dispenser instead. (Something she saw at a resort on a family vacation)
