Designed to impress, thanks to its modern, handleless cabinets, the space has a clean and uninterrupted visual flow. Our commitment to convenience is evident with the inclusion of the Quooker tap, which provides instant boiling water, as and when you need it. Our clients love the brilliance of the Bora hob, which provides a seamless and unobtrusive cooking surface. The Neff ovens, meanwhile, are yet another marker of culinary excellence. An exquisite galley-type island sits at the heart of the kitchen, offering ample workspace and open shelving to the far end – a clever design that ensures easy access to their most-used kitchen essentials. But it's not all about functionality; aesthetics plays a crucial role too. Picture an elegant, white pendant lamp gracefully suspended over the island, casting a warm glow that sets the perfect ambience for cooking and dining. Speaking of dining, our thoughtfully chosen white bar stools with backrests complement the kitchen's aesthetics and provide a comfortable spot from which to savour delicious meals. We’ve also maximised the presence of large glass doors, which flood the kitchen with natural light. Our lovely clients chose this beautiful Hartforth Blue shade that compliments the European Walnut wooden worktops perfectly, adding warmth to the whole kitchen. Cet ensemble mural regroupe 3 fonctions : - Rangement : Enormément de rangements à bonne hauteur (dans la zone de confort de l’être humain : entre les épaules et les genoux pour une accessibilité optimisée). Ces rangements ont la profondeur d'un meuble haut et sont donc parfaits pour y ranger toute la vaisselle du quotidien. Leur emplacement à proximité du coin repas est idéal pour la vaisselle également. - Espace dédié aux petits appareils électroménagers afin qu’ils puissent rester à disposition sans prendre de place sur le plan de travail (ce qui n’aurait pas été pratique ni esthétique avec pour seul plan de travail l’îlot). - Esthétique : ligne horizontale et légèreté amenée par le côté suspendu, pour cet ensemble mural très visible depuis la salle à manger des clients. L'ilot accueille, lui , la plaque de cuisson et l'évier. L'idée étant de les rendre le plus invisibles possible, les clients ont opté pour un plan de travail en stratifié noir avec une plaque de cuisson noire, un évier noir et une prise de plan de travail noire : les voilà dissimulés dans le plan. Les colonnes abritent quant à elle l'électroménagers restant : le réfrigérateur intégré, le four, le micro ondes, et la cave à vin. La hotte de plafond cielo blanche vient se fondre dans le décor du plafond afin de l'oublier. L'emplacement du coin repas dans l'avancée des fenêtres de la cuisine permet de profiter de la lumière naturelle pendant les repas , et évite le double emploi avec la table de salle à manger qui se trouve à l'opposée.

1. What Makes a Good Kitchen Design, and Why is it Important?

For starters, you want to find a balance between aesthetics and function. You may have heard of the ‘kitchen work triangle’, which refers to the space between your fridge, sink and stove. You want everything within easy reach when you’re working in the kitchen and look beautiful at the same time. It’s a good idea to take note of both when browsing our photo gallery.

2. Consider Your Space to Determine Your Kitchen Layout

Firstly, consider the space you have, and the limitations that come with it. Do you have a small kitchen and need to maximise your workspace and storage? Can you allow yourself some more space and a big island with seating? Are you designing your kitchen from scratch or renovating an existing design? Which appliances do you already own and what are their measurements? Are there windows you need to take into consideration when planning cabinets? How do kitchen, living and dining areas connect? Depending on your space and needs, you want to use a shape that suits you. U, G, or L-shaped kitchen, with or without island or peninsula? Know your dimensions, plan cabinetry carefully and consider the placement of your appliances. You don’t want to end up with a finished design, only for your significant other to question where the fridge is supposed to go. Consider from the start where your fridge, oven, microwave and sink goes to save yourself from starting again from scratch - remember the kitchen work triangle! You also want to plan the layout of your cabinets. Maybe you’re planning for a pantry and can do with less storage space in your kitchen, so that your design can be one without upper or lower cabinets for a different look. A corner cabinet can be a smart storage solution if you want to keep the look clean and simple.

3. Decide on a Kitchen Style, But Don’t Forget Practicality

You want the style of your kitchen to reflect your personality and taste. Consider what your cooking style is for a start - Italy is known for its cuisine, so italian kitchen designs are generally popular. Also consider ergonomics - depending on how much time you spend in your kitchen, the height of your counters can make a big difference to your overall health. You also want to consider colour and finishes of cabinets, countertops and splashbacks. Which colour do you want your cupboards to be? Simple, timeless white or rather making a statement in black?
