Modern materials were chosen to fit the existing style of the home. Mahogany cabinets topped with Caesarstone countertops in Nougat and Raven were accented by 24×24-inch recycled porcelain tile with 1-inch glass penny round decos. Elsewhere in the kitchen, quality appliances were re-used. The oven was located in its original brick wall location. The microwave convection oven was located neatly under the island countertop. A tall pull out pantry was included to the left of the refrigerator. The island became the focus of the design. It provided the main food prep and cooking area, and helped direct traffic through the space, keeping guests comfortable on one side and cooks on the other. Large porcelain tiles clad the back side of the island to protect the surface from feet on stools and accent the surrounding surfaces.

Dimensional textures, a color palate inspired by nature and the blend of multiple wood finishes create a striking kitchen that beautifully balances contrast and cohesion. Rift cut white oak, walnut and painted maple cabinetry from Grabill Cabinets all exist harmoniously in the space and provide ample storage and cooking space. The bold painted island pairs wonderfully with the custom bar benches. From the reclaimed brick flooring to the butcher block countertop on the island, this remodeled kitchen has everything a farmhouse desires. The range wall was the main focal point in this updated kitchen design. Hand-painted Tabarka terra-cotta tile creates a patterned wall that contrasts the white walls and beige cabinetry. Copper wall sconces and a custom painted vent hood complete the look, connecting to the black granite countertop on the perimeter cabinets and the oil rubbed bronze hardware. To finish out the farmhouse look, a shiplapped ceiling was installed.

Marrying their love for the mountains with their new city lifestyle, this downtown condo went from a choppy 90’s floor plan to an open and inviting mountain loft. New hardwood floors were laid throughout and plaster walls were featured to give this loft a more inviting and warm atmosphere. The floor plan was reimagined, giving the clients a full formal entry with storage, while letting the rest of the space remain open for entertaining. Custom white oak cabinetry was designed, which also features handmade hardware and a handmade ceramic backsplash.

Beautiful sparkling, new kitchen with painted white cabinets, granite and soapstone counters. This kitchen was designed by Cathy Knight of Knight Architects LLC and the contractor for the project was Pinneo Construction. The kitchen features Sub-Zero, GE Monogram, and Thermador products. This homeowner wanted extra refrigerator space and less freezer, so used an all refrigerator on the left side next to a refrigerator/freezer that are both seamlessly integrated. It also features other appliances integrated into the cabinetry, like the Sub-Zero Wine Storage. The appliances were supplied by Mrs. G TV & Appliances.
