The shaker cabinets are complimented with 2 different colors of Caesarstone countertops. The perimeter is off-white with beige & gray speckles, while the center island has more contrast with the “Wild Rice” Caesarstone. In keeping with the Spanish architectural influence, a classic Spanish accent tile is featured on the backsplash. The flooring is travertine, 18” square tiles laid on the diagonal with tight grout joints.

This small townhouse kitchen has no windows (it has a sliding glass door across from the dining nook) and had a limited budget. The owners planned to live in the home for 3-5 more years. The challenge was to update and brighten the space using Ikea cabinets while creating a custom feel with good resale value.

Hyde Park Renovations
The original kitchen was standard builder-grade oak cabinets with laminate flooring. Upstairs had carpeting in the bedrooms, as well as the main walk areas. Our customer picked a 5" wide plank Hickory wood floor throughout the home. The cabinetry they chose was a shaker-style, White painted cabinet from Merillat. To lighten up the home we added fresh coats of paint on all of the walls and trim, and replaced their outdated lighting with new fixtures.

Client is a young professional who wanted to brighten her kitchen and make unique elements that reflects her style. KTID suggested lowering the bar height counter, creating a rustic vs elegant style using reclaimed wood, glass backsplash and quartz waterfall countertop. KTID changed paint color to a darker shade of blue. The pantry was enlarged by removing the wall between the pantry and the refrigerator and putting in a pantry cabinet with roll-out shelves.

This basement kitchen design offers the ideal secondary kitchen for a busy home. The design includes value priced kitchen cabinets and open display shelves with under cabinet lighting. The blue glass mosaic backsplash offers a striking contrast to the white cabinetry and engineered quartz countertop. A peninsula with pedestal legs provides extra work space. This is the perfect extra kitchen for entertaining!

Using Subway Tile in a light yet colorful tile adds great dimension to your kitchen. That's exactly what these homeowners did. The beautiful, quiet blue color plays perfectly off of the white tile and dark countertops, making for an overall great kitchen.
