Kitchen Remodel and Hardwood Flooring in Baywood Park

This remodel by Green Goods dramatically enhanced the appeal and function of the kitchen. The original small galley kitchen was closed off by a wall between the kitchen and the large dining and living area. We removed the wall and added a recessed beam to support the loft above, opening up the kitchen to the vaulted ceilings in the adjacent rooms. We installed a single pane awning window that allows the maximum amount of natural light to enter the space. The window looks out at the bay, so the designer, Lisa Denker chose Heath 2" x 6" off-set tile backsplash in Heron Blue (G65) to replicate the blue of the ocean beyond. The custom cabinetry features shaker style drawers and doors, painted a rich blue on the lowers and white on the upper cabinets. The Caesarstone Quartz countertops in Blizzard (2141) allow for the light from the exterior to brighten up the room even more. We pulled the existing carpeting that extended into the living and dining rooms and ran Kraus, Touch of Euro, Natural Topaz Oak (KPHTE035J) White Oak throughout.

Their colors for the cabinets where Dove white (uppers and pantry) and navy blue (base). Their countertop was Cambria Torquay with large stainless steel sink and faucet Kohler Bellera 1.8 gpm Single-Handle Deck mount kitchen sink faucet. This stunning kitchen near Falmouth provided us with an amazing opportunity to explore the limits of kitchen design and materials, enabling us to create a unique multi-functional space. The area includes an enormous island for food prep and entertaining. The large bank of tall cabinets housed 2 ovens, a coffee machine, a combi/microwave, 2 warming drawers, a full-height fridge, freezer and wine cooler as well as 2 larders. Separate built-in furniture provides a drinks cabinet and a concealed media centre. We were impressed by the exceptional craftsmanship from all our suppliers and our fitters to create a seamless built-in look in an open plan area that had previously been a lounge. The kitchen itself is manufactured by British company Masterclass Kitchens in Lumina gloss in Graphite with a pale Scots Grey to contrast on the island. Beautiful Neolith Mont Blanc Silk sintered stone deep profile worktops with meticulously matched veining were crafted by Duke Stone of Cornwall. A complex lighting scheme with several zones managed via an i-Pad app was installed by Falmouth Electrics, including recessed ceiling lighting that perfectly echoed the shape of the island. The spectacular glass panelling made by Optidek integrated original artwork by artisan glass company Red Dog Glass Design - a gorgeous finishing touch. A luxury suite included Neff appliances, Dunavox wine fridge, Quopoker Cube tap, and composite Blanco sinks. It is an absolutely beautiful kitchen of which we are exceptionally proud!

This kitchen pays homage to a British Colonial style of architecture combining formal design elements of the Victorian era with fresh tropical details inspired by the West Indies such as pineapples and exotic textiles. Every detail was meticulously planned, from the coffered ceilings to the custom made ‘cross’ overhead doors which are glazed and backlit. The classic blue joinery is in line with the Pantone Color Institute, Color of the Year for 2020 and brings a sense of tranquillity and calm to the space. The White Fantasy marble bench tops add an air of elegance and grace with the lambs tongue edge detail and timeless grey on white tones. Complete with a butler’s pantry featuring full height glass doors, this kitchen is truly luxurious.

A complete makeover of a tired 1990s mahogany kitchen in a stately Greenwich back country manor. We couldn't change the windows in this project due to exterior restrictions but the fix was clear. We transformed the entire space of the kitchen and adjoining grand family room space by removing the dark cabinetry and painting over all the mahogany millwork in the entire space. The adjoining family walls with a trapezoidal vaulted ceiling needed some definition to ground the room. We added painted paneled walls 2/3rds of the way up to entire family room perimeter and reworked the entire fireplace wall with new surround, new stone and custom cabinetry around it with room for an 85" TV. The end wall in the family room had floor to ceiling gorgeous windows and Millowrk details. Once everything installed, painted and furnished the entire space became connected and cohesive as the central living area in the home.

In collaboration with Darcy Tsung Design, we took a small, cramped kitchen and created an open layout for entertaining. The owner is an accomplished chef who wanted a purpose-built kitchen to house all of her specialty items, including pullouts for a Kitchen Aid mixer, a coffee station, and cabinet inserts for knives, spices, and cutting boards. Our traditional, yet still up to date, design was influenced by the owner's antique heirloom dining table and chairs. We seamlessly incorporated that much beloved set of furniture, and gave a prominent place for the owner's colorful artwork.

In this kitchen renovation project, the client wanted to simplify the layout and update the look of the space. This beautiful rustic multi-finish cabinetry showcases the Dekton and Quartz countertops with two Galley workstations and custom natural hickory floors. The kitchen area has separate spaces designated for cleaning, baking, prepping, cooking and a drink station. A fireplace and spacious chair were also added for the client to relax in while drinking his morning coffee. The designer created a customized organization plan to maximize the space and reduce clutter in the cabinetry tailored to meet the client’s wants and needs.

For starters, you want to find a balance between aesthetics and function. You may have heard of the ‘kitchen work triangle’, which refers to the space between your fridge, sink and stove. You want everything within easy reach when you’re working in the kitchen and look beautiful at the same time. It’s a good idea to take note of both when browsing our photo gallery.

2. Consider Your Space to Determine Your Kitchen Layout

Firstly, consider the space you have, and the limitations that come with it. Do you have a small kitchen and need to maximise your workspace and storage? Can you allow yourself some more space and a big island with seating? Are you designing your kitchen from scratch or renovating an existing design? Which appliances do you already own and what are their measurements? Are there windows you need to take into consideration when planning cabinets? How do kitchen, living and dining areas connect? Know your dimensions, plan cabinetry carefully and consider the placement of your appliances. You don’t want to end up with a finished design, only for your significant other to question where the fridge is supposed to go. You also want to plan the layout of your cabinets. 3. Decide on a Kitchen Style, But Don’t Forget Practicality

You want the style of your kitchen to reflect your personality and taste. Consider what your cooking style is for a start - Italy is known for its cuisine, so italian kitchen designs are generally popular.
