The home's primary dining table is within the confines of the kitchen which means family and guests can relax and socialize with the cook without getting underfoot. The former refridgerator was reinstalled, hence, the door is hinged for the former kitchen layout. Once the unit has lived it's useful life, a replacement model will be selected with the hinge on the left.

The Floors AFTER: This incredible design remind me of Italian marbleized paper. And cork is so soft and giving when I’m standing washing dishes. Megan installed it herself and says the process is supereasy. “In addition to being both durable and beautiful, this cork flooring is easily cut with a utility knife and then glued down with contact cement,” she says. “It’s literally a cut-and-paste install!”

Cabinets were painted white and dark grey, new backsplash and countertop, new table top too. Yellow accents give a fresh new look to the space.
Since the hardwood floor was not even, we decided to install 4 mm cork tiles on top of it.
