Alair Homes Plano
This couple moved to Plano to be closer to their kids and grandchildren. When they purchased the home, they knew that the kitchen would have to be improved as they love to cook and gather as a family. The storage and prep space was not working for them and the old stove had to go! They loved the gas range that they had in their previous home and wanted to have that range again. We began this remodel by removing a wall in the butlers pantry to create a more open space. We tore out the old cabinets and soffit and replaced them with cherry Kraftmaid cabinets all the way to the ceiling. The cabinets were designed to house tons of deep drawers for ease of access and storage. We combined the once separated laundry and utility office space into one large laundry area with storage galore. Their new kitchen and laundry space is now super functional and blends with the adjacent family room.

This house is owned by a couple of professional restaurateurs who were looking to replace their cramped old 50's kitchen. We began by removing a wall (in-line with the railing behind the range) separating the kitchen from the living room, allowing in spacious views of east Portland and Mt. Hood in the distance. In this cook's kitchen we designed a custom, restaurant grade stainless steel countertop with an integrated sink (left). Beautiful cherry cabinets with sleek brushed nickel hardware helped to take the space into the modern era. An integrated computer/office nook in the corner provides a place to look up the latest recipe. Photo By Nicks Photo Design

This small penthouse apartment was given a wonderful nook space by creating a half moon glass bar height table perched above the cooktop island, supported with standoffs and a custom 'cigarette' base of wenge veneer. Custom swivel barstools with nickel footrests top off the fabulous spot, with swarovski crystal pendants creating both light and a bit of glamour above.

The existing kitchen was opened up to the dining room, bridged by the addition of a peninsula cabinet and counter. Custom center island with chopping block top. Custom sofa (not in frame) on the left balances out the room and allows for comfortable seating in the kitchen.

The countertops in this kitchen is a beautiful honed quartzite. With a full height tile backsplash it pulls in all of the colors from the stone and draws the eye upward. This turned out stunningly.
