We gutted the old kitchen and opened it up to the living room. We added all new wood flooring, refinishing the old and the new for a seamless transition. Other aspects of this renovation was adding a back entry from the kitchen, and brightening the space with recessed lights, pendants over the center island and sink, and inner cabinet lighting combined with under cabinet lighting. The granite counters and brick look glossy stone back splash help to reflect the beautiful lighting in this kitchen.

Upper glass front kitchen cabinets add light and depth to the room and offer space to display glassware and dishes. The cabinetry is offset by an engineered quartz countertop and cabinet hardware that includes unique fish-shaped drawer pulls. This adds an eclectic edge to the kitchen design and brings out the personality of the homeowner, who is a fisherman. Transitional Cabinet Reface in El Dorado Hills

Another ‘Life Changing’ Mini Kitchen Remodel in El Dorado Hills. The ‘Before’ and ‘Afters’ are striking. Instead of tearing out and replacing with all new cabinetry (we’re experts at this type of remodel as well), these homeowners chose a painted Reface along with some we’ll thought out design modifications. We expanded the island, lowering the bar counter to one level and modified the sink base to allow for a new efficient farm sink. Additionally, we added glass doors and undercabinet lighting. The two-tone color scheme features painted hardwood cabinetry in Swiss Coffee with a combination of Lexington door style for the uppers and Heritage for the lowers. The island features Cherry cabinetry and to add to the beautiful modern aesthetic, prominently features Cambria Clovelly quartz counters with two waterfall ends. Rounding out the kitchen transformation is warm tile backsplash which features a metal accent tile selected by the home owners. Now that’s inspired design. All remodel work from design, to cabinetry, carpentry, electrical, countertop fabrication and installation, appliance installation and finish painting by Kitchen Mart.

This kitchen remodel was designed by Gail from our Manchester showroom. This kitchen features Cabico Essence cabinets with maple wood, Cartago/K (raised panel) door style and Natural stain finish and Cacao glaze. This remodel also features Cambria quartz countertop, with Blackwood color and standard edge. The kitchen flooring is Armstrong 6”x48” vinyl plank click lock with Vivero collection and Apple Orchard color. The backsplash is Florida Tile Retro classic tile sheets with Mocha color and chocolate color grout by Mapei. Other features include Blanco double bowl sink with Anthracite color with two sink grids and basket strainers, the faucet and soap dispenser is by Moen in Flat Black finish. The cabinet hardware is knobs are by Amerock Hardware with Carmel Bronze finish. As part of the kitchen remodel, the customer added custom new French doors (60” x 80”) with weather-stripped Jam, colonial casing and brushed nickel casing hinges.

Chester County Kitchen and Bath was asked to design the kitchen and butler’s pantry cabinetry, in conjunction with Donnelly Builders, and Sue Giacomucci Interiors. Lovely kitchen remodel with natural light touching warm hardwood floors and gorgeous kitchen elements from granite to cabinets. Customer selected Fabuwood Cabinetry in a standard construction with plywood cabinet boxes; full overlay door and drawer style, dovetailed drawer boxes, “Matching” drawer heads, drawers to have full extension, soft close glides. Doors are also self- closing. The Kitchen Perimeter and island cabinetry is FabuWood Nexus Frost, the half-wall FabuWood cabinetry is Nexus Slate. Butler’s Pantry Cabinetry, FabuWood Nexus Slate. Granite Countertop color is “Truffle”. Chestnut was the wood used for the other countertops. Isn't it fantastic?

1. What Makes a Good Kitchen Design, and Why is it Important?

For starters, you want to find a balance between aesthetics and function. You may have heard of the ‘kitchen work triangle’, which refers to the space between your fridge, sink and stove. You want everything within easy reach when you’re working in the kitchen and look beautiful at the same time. It’s a good idea to take note of both when browsing our photo gallery.

2. Consider Your Space to Determine Your Kitchen Layout

Firstly, consider the space you have, and the limitations that come with it. Do you have a small kitchen and need to maximise your workspace and storage? Can you allow yourself some more space and a big island with seating? Are you designing your kitchen from scratch or renovating an existing design? Which appliances do you already own and what are their measurements? Are there windows you need to take into consideration when planning cabinets? How do kitchen, living and dining areas connect? Depending on your space and needs, you want to use a shape that suits you. U, G, or L-shaped kitchen, with or without island or peninsula? Know your dimensions, plan cabinetry carefully and consider the placement of your appliances. You don’t want to end up with a finished design, only for your significant other to question where the fridge is supposed to go. Consider from the start where your fridge, oven, microwave and sink goes to save yourself from starting again from scratch - remember the kitchen work triangle! You also want to plan the layout of your cabinets. Maybe you’re planning for a pantry and can do with less storage space in your kitchen, so that your design can be one without upper or lower cabinets for a different look. A corner cabinet can be a smart storage solution if you want to keep the look clean and simple.

3. Decide on a Kitchen Style, But Don’t Forget Practicality

You want the style of your kitchen to reflect your personality and taste. Consider what your cooking style is for a start - Italy is known for its cuisine, so italian kitchen designs are generally popular.
