Our client envisioned an inviting, open plan area that effortlessly blends the beauty of contemporary design with the charm of a country-style kitchen. They wanted a central hub, a sociable cooking and seating area, where the whole family could gather, share stories, and create lasting memories. For this exceptional project, we utilised the finest craftsmanship and chose Masterclass furniture in Hunter Green and Farringdon Grey. The combination brings a harmonious blend of sophistication and rustic allure to the kitchen space. To complement the furniture and enhance its elegance, we selected solid oak worktops, with the oak’s warm tones and natural grains offering a classic aesthetic while providing durability and functionality for everyday use. We installed top-of-the-line Neff appliances to ensure that cooking and meal preparations are an absolute joy. The seamless integration of modern technology enhances the efficiency of the kitchen, making it a pleasure to work in. Our client's happiness is the ultimate measure of our success. We are thrilled to share that our efforts have left our client beaming with satisfaction. After completing the kitchen project, we were honoured to be trusted with another project, installing a utility/boot room for the client. In the client's own words: "After 18 months, I now have the most fabulous kitchen/dining/family space and a utility/boot room. It was a long journey as I was having an extension built and some internal walls removed, and I chose to have the fitting done in two stages, wanting the same fitters for both jobs. But it's been worth the wait. Catherine's design skills helped me visualise from the architect's plans what each space would look like, making the best use of storage space and worktops. The kitchen fitters had an incredible eye for detail, and everything was finished to a very high standard. Was it an easy journey? To be honest, no, as we were working through Brexit and Covid, but The Kitchen Store worked well with my builders and always communicated with me in a timely fashion regarding any delays. The Kitchen Store also came on site to check progress and the quality of finish. I love my new space and am excited to be hosting a big family Christmas this year." We are immensely proud to have been part of this wonderful journey, and we look forward to crafting more extraordinary spaces for our valued clients. The quartzite wall and hood are a statement piece in this kitchen that tie in to the island beautifully. Envisioning this look was one thing, but engineering it was another! We had to make sure the extra large quartzite hood was able to be supported by the surrounding cabinetry. The quartzite shelf above the range adds function and visual interest to the wall of quartzite - it's a great detail that allows the home chef to keep their favorite ingredients close at hand. We designed a contrasting onyx maple stain for the interior of the all the glass cabinets and the floating shelf area to add visual contrast to the quartzite and warm wood tones.

Flaunting Hamptons elegance and generous family proportions, this stunning new home has been beautifully designed for modern family living. Hampton's influenced design has been woven into the overall scheme of the home. Shaker style cabinets and elegant brass handles are further enhanced with classic Hamptons glass pendant lights. Large, wide drawers replaced a 'sea of cupboards' to provide improved functionality and flexibility. What was originally designed as an enclosed pantry and tight fridge space creating a more enclosed feel to the kitchen zone, Centric Spaces removed the unnecessary non-structural wall between the fridge cavity & allocated pantry space & relocated the pantry to the butlers pantry. Instead, an open coffee station with additional bench space was created, minimising the ‘closed off’ feel or the need for a full height door opening onto much needed circulation space.

This elegant pantry wall features a hidden refrigerator, freezer, coffee bar, and smoothie station! A lot of thought and detail went into making sure that, when closed, the coffee bar and smoothie station looked like a full wall of pantry cabinets. The pocket door system had to be engineered onsite - I worked very closely with my installer prior to installation to ensure their function! For durability we used black granite on the interior countertop.

Download our free ebook, Creating the Ideal Kitchen. DOWNLOAD NOW It’s not uncommon to buy a new home and want to make it your own. But that doesn’t always mean starting from scratch – because when something works, it works. At TKS Design Group, we believe in intentional design, not change for the sake of change. Especially when it comes to quality kitchen cabinets. Lead designer, Jennifer, was able to make the most of what worked in this space, while elevating the aesthetic to make the kitchen feel brand new. This kitchen is an example of just that. When the homeowners purchased the home in 2016, they made some initial updates. From painting to refinishing the floors, they began the process of making this house their own. When the time came to update the kitchen, they wanted to work with what they had to elevate the space, while also adding in the design details that were missing for them. Not every space or kitchen requires starting from scratch to make new. Sometimes the layout is just right, and the cabinets are in great shape. Instead, you can prioritize the aesthetic you seek within the scope of what you already have. That is exactly what this kitchen called for. The new statement island in slate was added to make space for the microwave drawer which wasn’t a part of the original layout. The bold tone of the island adds contrast against light perimeter cabinetry painted in Benjamin Moore White Dove. A custom hood accommodates a new blower for an upgraded cooking experience. Quartz countertops paired with a marble backsplash pull everything together. Elevated plumbing fixtures in a polished nickel finish add a subtle sheen and loads of elegance. This client cared a lot about the details of the design, but especially the light fixtures. When we understand what matters to our client, we can prioritize it as a part of our design and process.

This kitchen replaced the one original to this 1963 built residence. The now empty nester couple entertain frequently including their large extended family during the holidays. Separating work and social spaces was as important as crafting a space that was conducive to their love of cooking and hanging with family and friends. Simple lines, simple cleanup, and classic tones create an environment that will be in style for many years. Subtle unique touches like the painted wood ceiling, pop up island receptacle/usb and receptacles/usb hidden at the bottom of the upper cabinets add functionality and intrigue. Ample LED lighting on dimmers both ceiling and undercabinet mounted provide ample task lighting. SubZero 42” refrigerator, 36” Viking Range, island pendant lights by Restoration Hardware. The ceiling is framed with white cove molding, the dark colored beadboard actually elevates the feeling of height. It was sanded and spray painted offsite with professional automotive paint equipment. It reflects light beautifully. No one expects this kind of detail and it has been quite fun watching people’s reactions to it. There are white painted perimeter cabinets and Walnut stained island cabinets. A high gloss, mostly white floor was installed from the front door, down the foyer hall and into the kitchen. It contrasts beautifully with the existing dark hardwood floors.Designers Patrick Franz and Kimberly Robbins. Photography by Tom Maday.
