A warm kitchen with natural maple cabinetry and gray granite countertops.
Home At Last Decor
This kitchen was transformed by painting a chocolate brown wall color and island base to match, in order to modernize and add contrast to the light oak cabinets. The granite counters continue to the backsplash area, which is enhanced with under cabinet lighting. A dramatic nickel faucet and stainless appliances update the room. A brown under-mount Silgranit sink is as practical as it is beautiful.

Schroeder Design/Build, Inc.
This McLean family had recently built a family room addition and wanted to create an open concept kitchen to connect all the spaces. Schroeder Design/Build created a new kitchen, adjacent banquette seating area with storage and a screened porch. Now anyone in the kitchen can be a part of what's happening in the family room. An island with seating provides additional seating for nights of entertaining.

This dream kitchen features an open floor plan with expansive views of the Rocky Mountains. A pull-out pantry, refrigerator drawers, and hidden storage areas ensure the kitchen is fully functional and free of clutter but with food and cooking items within easy reach.
The countertops feature unique fossil and Antolin stone, the cherry horizontal grained wood cabinets hail from the same trees, and the custom dining room table is carved from cherry too. Step out from the kitchen to an outdoor dining area with a pass through window to easily access food dishes from the kitchen. Above it all the drywall dropped ceiling gracefully winds around the space with recessed lighting to accentuate the curved soffits.
