And the designer responded with quiet restraint, infusing the home with a palette of pale greens, creams and beiges that echo the beachfront outside…. The use of texture on walls, furnishings and fabrics, along with unexpected accents of deep orange, add a cozy feel to the open layout. “I used splashes of orange because it’s a favorite color of mine and of my clients’,” she says. “It’s a hue that lends itself to warmth and energy — this house has a lot of warmth and energy, just like the owners.” With a nod to the family’s South American heritage, a large, wood architectural element greets visitors as soon as they step off the elevator. The jigsaw design — pieces of cherry wood that fit together like a puzzle — is a work of art in itself. Visible from nearly every room, this central nucleus not only adds warmth and character, but also, acts as a divider between the formal living room and family room….. The master bathroom is large with plenty of built-in storage space and double vanity. The countertops carry on from the kitchen. A large freestanding tub sits adjacent to the window next to the large stand-up shower. The floor is a dark great chevron tile pattern that grounds the lighter design finishes.

This stunning master shower was designed to compliment the tropical garden showers. We used a soft green tile in a bamboo pattern on the shower walls. A shower niche was built into the wall for holding soaps and shower accessories, and was lined with a complimenting bamboo 3D tile in a natural cream stone. The quartz shower bench material matches the vanity tops. The shower pan is sliced pebble tile and compliments the cream porcelain tile used through out the bathroom. The doors and trim is Sapele as are the custom vanity cabinets.

Referencing the wife and 3 daughters for which the house was named, four distinct but cohesive design criteria were considered for the 2016 renovation of the circa 1890, three story masonry rowhouse: 1. To keep the significant original elements – such as the grand stair and Lincrusta wainscoting. 2. To repurpose original elements such as the former kitchen pocket doors fitted to their new location on the second floor with custom track. 3. To improve original elements - such as the new "sky deck" with its bright green steel frame, a new kitchen and modern baths. 4. This cool bath showcases 3D wall tiles (OXO Deco Blanco 12 x 35 tile) and sparkly glass tile in shower in Blue Sea. Freestanding tub is beautiful and functional.
