The main bathroom was recreated in an authentic Californian bungalow style featuring tessellated tiles, subway tiles in a brick pattern with capping tiles, Shaker-style framed mirrored cabinet, pedestal vanity, older-style toilet with timber toilet seat and older-style accessories. The original stained glass window was maintained. The only modern variation was the streamlined glass shower wall.

The owners of this beautiful Georgian property have been renovating for over two years with one distinct aim: to transform their house from boring bricks and mortar into an entirely original home. They wanted a kitchen that was sleek and stylish, but entirely open to put their own personal stamp on. All the units are hand-crafted from Quebec Yellow Timber and painted in Farrow & Ball ‘White’ to create a crisp, clean canvas for this modern couple. Warm English Oak worktops inject a sense of cheer and avoid the clinical feel that can accompany white installations. This minimal kitchen is finished with chrome knobs with square backplates and Scopwick Mouldings, for extra oomph. Special features include a floor-to-ceiling wine rack, a concealed cutlery block and a Tepan Yaki hot plate deftly hidden under a chopping board to maximize space and functionality for this couple of keen cooks. This was a whole house remodel, the owners are more transitional in style, and they had a lot of special requests including the suspended bar seats on the bar, as well as the geometric circles that were custom to their space. The doors, moulding, trim work and bar are all completely custom to their aesthetic interests. We tore out a lot of walls to make the kitchen and living space a more open floor plan for easier communication, The hidden bar is to the right of the kitchen, replacing the previous closet pantry that we tore down and replaced with a framed wall, that allowed us to create a hidden bar (hidden from the living room) complete with a tall wine cooler on the end of the island.
