Sustainable design helps environmentally conscious clients update their house and simultaneously balance their own needs and desires with an eye to future buyers. Their intention was to have a fresh, new and thoughtful design, adding value to their home and eliminating any additional negative environmental impact. Their concerns were to reduce waste and eliminate impact on landfills by reclaiming, repurposing, reusing and updating all of their existing fine but very dated furniture and furnishings with a new and contemporary design. The project budget was informed by the prevailing real estate values in their neighborhood.
Chi Renovation & Design
A clean and modern entertainment center showcasing floating cabinets and shelves made out of the same man-made porcelain used in the kitchen. The grass paper wall finishing and LED lighting add sophistication and a subtle illumination of decor placed on the shelves.
Home located in Chicago's North Side. Designed by Chi Renovations & Design who serve Chicago and it's surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on the North Side and North Shore. You'll find their work from the Loop through Humboldt Park, Lincoln Park, Skokie, Evanston, Wilmette, and all of the way up to Lake Forest.

Beachy Boheme Interiors
This family room was updated with a custom media built-in to store kids toys and keep the media organized. The walls were painted Benjamin Moore Balboa Mist, and white cabinets received matte black hardware and coastal rope sconces. Custom cushions were added to serve as a reading nook for the kids (but mostly, the dog sleeps there). Driftwood, succulents and air plants give texture and add life to this space. Light oak shelves are styled with beachy decor.
