The living room and most first floor areas were tiled with reclaimed European terra cotta. We also used traditional method of oil and wax to seal and finished them. The interior walls were textured to give a plastered appearance. An interesting and dificult detail was to eliminate all casing, even on interior doors to give the appearance of full masonry traditional construction.

This guesthouse was build adjacent to an already magnificent home outside of Charlotte in beautiful horse country in Waxhaw, NC. We extensively used reclaimed French terracotta for all floors in the guesthouse as well as in the shower.

“Make it simple yet significant “- was the brief given by our warmest couple clients, Manish and Vanshika.
Nestled in the posh area of Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, this home has a clean and open look with lots of greenery.
The living dining space is a combination of
Scandinavian and Contemporary style. Grey colored highlighting accent walls, Nordic style inspired lights and wall accessories make the space look warm and inviting. The open kitchen with the breakfast counter and hanging light adds to the entire appeal. The book corner in the passage with the mandir and the bold black and gold wall print behind is surely eye catching

The challenges arise when you have to do a transition between wood and tiles. This means that when you put tile next to hardwood flooring, your tile will be critical for a flush transition. Using this transition, it's a good way to define the two different area in an open concept.
