Lavastone & Glass-Covered Walls

Back-glazed, wide-reed glass walls are featured in this kitchen. Note that the header heights above the window have been raised by using the empty space between the ceiling and the second floor. Toe kick drawers fill the space below and are 7-1/2" tall, raising the counters to a more comfortable height for my client. Counters are also deeper, so those TK drawers have 24"-long drawer guidesl! That's a lot of usable storage! The counter on the island is Pyrolave or quarried volcanic rock from France. I built the island with stiletto heels as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the wife's shoe affections... Roger Turk of Northlight Photography
