This double-height great room includes a modern wine cellar with glass doors, a sleek concrete fireplace, and glass sliding doors that open to the rear outdoor courtyards at the heart of the home. Ceramic floor tiles, stone walls paired with white plaster walls, and high clerestory windows add to the natural palette of the home. A warm vaulted ceiling with reinforced wooden beams provides a cozy sanctuary to the residents.

Beautiful walnut built-ins for the entertainment center become a focal point of this great room. A cozy sofa and loveseat are dressed with performance fabrics and embellished with nail heads - the arrangement is perfect for entertaining and for quiet family nights at home. Two custom-made ottomans on castors allow ease of movement for serving, sitting, or as footrests. The custom end table is a variation on a classic with a fresh, artistic twist and clean, graceful lines; the finish coordinates with its surroundings and the grain adds interest. The area rug warms and grounds the grouping. The shuffleboard table provides extra family fun.

This dated 1970s home was begging to be brought into the 21st century. We broke up the boxed-in kitchen, rearranged the unfunctional master bathroom, and modernized the house as a whole to give our clients the home of their dreams.
