Bold solid hues converse with each other throughout this small home for continuity. Simplified, taughtly upholstered modern furnishings complement the scale.

Before our transformation, dark wood flooring drew the eye downward. After, a beautiful Tufenkian hand-knotted, dyed wool rug matches the artwork over the fireplace, taking your eyes on a colorful journey around the space. It’s worth investing in a quality rug, and I always encourage my clients to purchase hand-made artwork that you love, made by a local or regional artist.
Details matter, when it comes to luxury, so taking time to get it right is absolutely worth the attention, an investment you’ll enjoy for years to come.

Cheerful creamy Tuscan yellow walls, sisal rug, blues, turquoise, and acid green are balanced by bold black and white herringbone accent pieces. A large sofa and comfortable chairs provide ample seating, as do the clustered ottomans, which may be used as a cocktail table as shown, or additional seating.
Pretty blue and green floral drapery panels frame the beautiful full length plantation shutters on the French style windows. The mosaic glass tile fireplace surround is done in similar colors and sparkles in the light.

This beautiful traditional home remodel by our Lafayette studio exemplifies timeless elegance. The kitchen backsplash adds a touch of modern flair to the classic design. The relaxing bathroom feels like a sanctuary, with high-end finishes creating a spa-like atmosphere. The home bar is perfect for entertaining, and the stunning fireplace is the focal point of the cozy living area. Overall, this remodel seamlessly blends traditional and modern elements to create a warm and inviting space.

This project is the rebuild of a classic Craftsman bungalow that had been destroyed in a fire. Throughout the design process we balanced the creation of a house that would feel like a true home, to replace the one that had been lost, while managing a budget with challenges from the insurance company, and navigating through a complex approval process.
