This 6,600-square-foot home in Edina’s Highland neighborhood was built for a family with young children — and an eye to the future. There’s a 16-foot-tall basketball sport court (painted in Edina High School’s colors, of course). “Many high-end homes now have customized sport courts — everything from golf simulators to batting cages,” said Dan Schaefer, owner of Landmark Build Co.

A stunning Venetian mirror hangs above a custom vanity wearing a distressed and glazed blue stain in this Italian Country inspired powder room. Exposed hinges and bronze cabinet pulls give Old World charm as does the wood top, which is stained to match the room’s door and moldings. Above the wood top sits an additional top made of durable Quartzite. The metal sink, polished nickel faucet and Venetian mirror and sparkle. For a bit of whimsy, an antique door knocker is used to hold a hand towel.

The downstairs bathroom/laundry is completed, and the results are stunning! This involved the renovation of an existing laundry, adding extra space to accommodate the combination bathroom and laundry.

Warm, sandy woods, espresso tones, and light plush fabrics come together exquisitely in this open and bright living room. Our goal was to give our clients a luxurious but relaxed style which is why we introduced light earth tones and pale blues. Clean lines and symmetry are the fundamental elements of this design, so it was important to add in the right amount of texture. With the right textiles, warm organic elements, and artisanal lighting and decor, we created the home of our client's dreams. Project designed by Courtney Thomas Design in La Cañada. Serving Pasadena, Glendale, Monrovia, San Marino, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, and Altadena. This once wallpapered bathroom has been turned into a Mediterranean bathroom. Since they loved to travel, we wanted to compliment their new bathroom with their style. They wanted to take the bath away and create a shower, since we didn't want to enclose the shower too much, our designer added in glass to the wall to add in more light to the space. This help with a better flow of the bathroom.
