The North end of this media room holds a pool/ping pong table and a dart board. The west wall is graced by original art work by D Aaron Smith. The lower walls are textured with three colors. A European style Travertine looking Porcelain tile was used on the floors. Chocolate brown traditional cabinets with interior lighting and antique glass doors were hung on the East wall, allowing for a convenient place to cook and clean up. A traditional bar was strategically placed for eating and viewing those playing pool. The wool rugs were chosen to add color, warmth and decoration to the space. The beautifully crafted custom bar was existing. The design dilemma was a lack of accessories on the back bar, a small table and chairs in the lounge area and dark mahogany bar stools. The bar overpowered the sparsely furnished lounge area and made the space feel empty and uninviting. We added the wall mural which brings in elements of nature and creates the illusion of a wine cellar. The high back upholstered banquette beckons guests to take a seat. The hand crafted tavern table and bench are the perfect size for this space. We swapped out the bar stools for a complimentary wood tone and assembled a unique collection of wine decanters, wine boxes and glass bottles for the back bar. The lounge area is now warm and inviting and the perfect compliment to the bar.

The high back banquette is upholstered in a textured faux leather. Perfect for entertaining the banquette can seat 8 guests. The 19th century, hand tooled leather chairs can be pulled up to the tavern table for dining or gaming. The tavern table is a work of art, hand crafted from reclaimed materials. The table top is a carved panel from a church confessional. An antique, wrought iron, hair pin garden fence has been welded into a decorative and sturdy base. The antique wood barrels have an aged patina and decorative finish.
