In this master suite designed by Jim Walters, the wall-to-wall bed maximizes storage with built-in tansu-like nightstands. Grass cloth wall covering adds earthy texture to the Asian-influenced bedroom; shoji-style doors lead to the master bath.
Puji
This stunning lowboy chest works well as a his and hers chest in this contemporary bedroom.
The Oriental style and sophisticated elegance of the Harmoni range are brought to this bedroom with a blend of beautiful stained reclaimed wood and small distinctive handles.
Coordinated with the art deco glass mirror and Kursi leather chair available from Puji.

Japanese Guest Suite Hallway. The Ryokan styled guest suite, based on a traditional Japanese inn, provides for hosting guests overnight. The floor consists of tatami mats upon which futon bed rolls are spread out at night. Adjacent to it is a bathroom suite with Ofuro tub, an ante area, an enclosed seating porch, and a private outdoor deck with Japanese garden. The remarkable craftsmanship of the custom fabricated woodwork is highlighted throughout.

The watery Venetian damask from Zoffany sets the mood for this Pied a Terre bedroom. We wrapped the room in a color pulled from the paper, even the doors and moldings are in this color. The wallpaper softens the hard lines of the industrial style metal bed from CB2. To purists the placement of the refurbished Mid Century nightstands with the wallpaper may seem inappropriate, but I think the nightstands are a tailored response to the exuberance of the paper. Also, if you watch TCM on a regular basis you would see such mixes all the time. The Chinese Mirror and Japanese prints reflect my client's interest in Asia and add another layer to the mix.

The intimate main bedroom was designed around the clients bedding for inspiration. The custom silk headboard and draperies were made by Valley Drapery and Upholstery. The bronze bench and the shagreen night stands are from Restoration Hardware. I designed the custom interior doors to mirror shoji screens, using frosted glass panels.
