Pamela Harvey Interiors
For this stunning home, our St. Pete studio created a bold, bright, balanced design plan to invoke a sophisticated vibe. Our love for the color blue was included in the carefully planned color scheme of the home. We added a gorgeous blue and white rug in the entryway to create a fabulous first impression. The adjacent living room got soft blue accents creating a cozy ambience. In the formal dining area, we added a beautiful wallpaper with fun prints to complement the stylish furniture. Another lovely wallpaper with fun blue and yellow details creates a cheerful ambience in the breakfast corner near the beautiful kitchen. The bedrooms have a neutral palette creating an elegant and relaxing vibe. A stunning home bar with black and white accents and stylish wooden furniture adds an elegant flourish.

We chose a neutral palette for key furnishings paired with pops of colorful accents in rust, yellow and navy to complement the room's high ceilings, hardwood floors and large windows.
Melanie Roy Design
Melanie Roy’s challenge in designing an extremely functional mud room to accommodate a busy family’s needs was to create a place for everything from crab nets and straw mats in metal buckets to beach towels, flip flops, balls and various summer paraphernalia in wire baskets. The challenge was that the room had no cubbies so boat cleats were used for hanging items up and out of the way and baskets and buckets for easy-access storage under a rough-hewn table. She created a beach theme by anchoring the space with a Stark rug with a wave design. Artists’ rendered surfboards are decorative but often accompany surfboards that are constantly in use. A window seat/bench is upholstered in a waterproof Duralee fabric, piped with jute, so you can sit on it even in a wet bathing suit. A painted blue rock coffee table is reflective of a bolder on the beach. Photo by Eric Striffler.

Despite the grand size of the 300-square-foot den and its cathedral ceiling, the room remains cozy and welcoming. The casual living space is a respite from the white walls and trim that illuminate most of the main level. Instead, natural cherry built-in shelving and paneling span the fireplace wall and fill the room with a warm masculine sensibility.
The hearth surround of the gas fireplace exhibits prosperity for detail. The herringbone pattern is constructed of small, tumbled-slate tiles and topped with a simple natural cherry mantel.
There are integrated windows into the design of the fireplace wall. The small, high sidelights are joined by three grand windows that fill most of the room's back wall and offer an inviting view of the backyard. Comfortable twin chairs and a classic-style sofa provide ideal spots to relax, read or enjoy a show on the TV, which is hidden in the corner behind vintage shutters.
