The front and back areas surrounding this Eichler home were updated with the mid-century modern design aesthetic in mind.

Transformed and transported this Desert Mid-Century Modern from Palm Springs straight to this North Scottsdale home. Every detail was highly considered, even down to the customer made breeze block to create this on-trend screen wall. Everything is new, all plants, cactus, agave, succulents, plants, and lighting. A very large thank you to our incredible client. We are thankful to have been part of this special project!

Block work surround the entire perimeter is original to the house built in 1969 in Rancho Mirage, CA. Pool chairs are sitting on new concrete pads. New grass was installed to finish off the comfortable pool area.

With a limited budget, we were able to transform and update this front garden with a new modern pathway, a small patio, and a variety of low-water and low-maintenance plants. The black mulch completes this modern landscape design transformation. Dianella tasmanica 'Variegata', Asparagus densiflorus 'Meyers' - Fox tail Fern, and Daphne odora 'Marginata' are great companions in partly shaded areas. © Eileen Kelly, Dig Your Garden Landscape Design

A new garden to complement this recently renovated mid-century modern home by Northern Edge Studio. A naturalistic contemporary Australian style garden with native grasses, Kangaroo Paws and native ground covers. New seeded exposed aggregate path around the home and a seating area to be immersed within the garden. Beautiful bluestone steppers slow your pace to walk through the garden.

Designed for a Cliff May "Rancho" home, this project resulted comfortable outdoor spaces for relaxation and entertaining. New walls and fencing, softened with lush planting, create a private atmosphere. And a casual, meadow-style garden filled with California native plants echoes the home's open, airy feeling. A closeup of Pincushion Tango shrub in Spring. Leucospermum 'Tango' is a dramatic flowering shrub from South African, and suits the SF bay area Mediterranean climate. The Front landscape takes on a minimalist design with architectural plants that include Barrel Cactus, Artichoke Agaves, stately Thatching Reeds, a Blue Palm (Brahea 'Clara') a Mediterranean Fan Palm and other easy-care plants. The corten steel sculpture offers a striking focal point adjacent to the front doorway.
