Camelback Mountain Estate in Paradise Valley, AZ

They needed new custom cabinetry to accommodate their new 75" flat screen so we worked with the cabinetry and AV vendors to design a unit that would encompass all of the AV plus display and storage extending all the way to the window seat. We designed a new coffered ceiling with lighting in each bay. And built out the fireplace with dimensional tile to the ceiling. The color scheme was kept intentionally monochromatic to show off the different textures with the only color being touches of blue in the pillows and accessories to pick up the art glass.

Designed by Seattle architect Lionel Pries in 1950, the original plan of this home has been only slightly modified to create larger kitchen and master bath areas and a downstairs recreation space. The entire home was updated with new finishes and fixtures, and a freestanding carport was added.

We worked closely with the client to create a dwelling worthy of his vast collection of mid-century modern furnishings. The custom kitchen is a showpiece; its sleek lines, modern appliances, glossy white countertops and rich wood cabinets are stunning in their carefully thought-out simplicity. The window-grid wall balances the need to provide separation and openness with the rest of the main floor, while large windows and custom built-ins surrounding the fireplaces maximize the breathtaking views.
