We collaborated with T.H.E. Remodel Group to define a space plan that opened up the existing hall bathroom and entered the neighboring bedroom. This space allowed us to double the size of the shower and added needed closet storage, two vanity sinks, custom cabinetry with storage and radiant heating. The client was fond of contemporary yet classic design, and we settled on classic Carrera marble for the countertops, with chrome accents. To give the bathroom a bit of contemporary punch we selected an unexpected Sombera yellow for the walls. To coordinate with the vanity, we chose for the master shower a gorgeous easy-care porcelain tile reminiscent of Carrera marble. This new generation tile is almost impossible to detect porcelain versus natural stone, but allows the homeowners to enjoy zero maintenance and easy clean up. We incorporated a carved marble tile on the accent wall as a nod to the fluted wood in the living room cabinets. From there, we carried in the same wood tone at the vanity cabinets and stone from the TV wall into the countertop.

Master bathroom in 3 bedroom 2 bath home

Meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail abound in this newly constructed east-coast traditional home. The private, gated estate has 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms beautifully situated on a lot over 16,000 square feet. An entertainer's paradise, this home has an elevator, gourmet chef's kitchen, wine cellar, indoor sauna and Jacuzzi, outdoor BBQ and fire pit, sun-drenched pool and sports court. The home is a fully equipped Control 4 Smart Home boasting high ceilings and custom cabinetry throughout.

While the master bathroom may be the most simple of all the bathrooms in terms of the design, it was actually the most difficult to execute. The homeowners wanted a serene, clean escape, but needed ample storage and wanted to incorporate a slightly more luxurious feel. Alongside the homeowner Daniella, the designers looked through many different tile options, finally settling on Bianco Dolomiti – Direto polished marble. They all loved the bright white background with the slight variation and veining, which gave it more character than a traditional Thassos. The designers opted to use 12 x 24 tiles to create a focus wall behind the vanity, which created the perfect backdrop for the custom-made floating vanity, medicine cabinets, wall mounted faucets and sconces. The designers originally wanted the floor to be cement, but when they saw the Area grey porcelain tile installed at the NEMO Tile Red Bank showroom, they knew it would be perfect. They opted for the larger 48 x 48 tiles to minimize the number of seams, which maintains the focus on the beautiful Bianco Dolomiti – Direto marble.

Completed Bathroom

The renowned quality of Agglotech products drew the designers to the company’s Venetian terrazzo, color SB240 Torcello, for the entire flooring of this home’s living area. Delicate, ashen tones adorn the living room and kitchen in perfect harmony with the surrounding wood design features. White marble aggregate, in the tradition of Venetian seminato flooring, further exalts the attention to detail of this elegant setting.
