This bathroom update perfectly marries form and function. New wood plank flooring highlights the wood grain texture of the bathroom tile while matching existing flooring in the hallway and bedroom. We installed a Toto wall hung toilet and a double vanity with a stunning cultured onyx countertop, complete with satin chrome hardware and brushed nickel accessories for the sink and shower. For the final touch, we added chic surface-mounted Feiss Hamlet sconces to illuminate the space.

This streamlined master bath features beautiful matching flooring, shower surround and tiled walls. The low threshold shower makes it a beautiful transition floor to shower, the darker wood accents on the vanity and cabinet give it warmth like it's related hall bathroom.

Our designs for these two speculative houses in Noe Valley were inspired by the atrium houses designed in the 50’s for Bay Area developer Joseph Eichler. Entered via bridges from the street, the two houses share a sunken forecourt with stairs down to the lower level. A gull wing roof design and cantilevered elements at the front and rear of the house evoke the spirit of mid-Century modernism. The steeply down-sloping lot allowed us to provide sweeping views of the city from the two upper levels. Tall, skylit master suites at the lowest levels open out onto decks and the garden. Originally designed as mirrored images of each other, the design evolved through the negotiations of the right and left neighbors to respond to their differing needs.

Backlit Slab Pink Onyx (slabs from Tutto Marmo), Slab Pink Onyx on Shower walls/bench/ponywall, recessed and surface mounted Robern medicine cabinets (lighted and powered), Dura Supreme cabinetry with custom pulls, freestanding BainUltra Ora tub with remote Geysair subfloor pump (cleverly located under a base cabinet with in floor access), floor mounted tub filler with wand, Vessel sinks with AquaBrass faucets, Zero Threshold shower with CalFaucets 6" tiled drain, smooth wall conversion with wallpaper, powered skylight, frameless shower with 1/2" low iron glass, privacy toilet door with 1/2" low iron acid etch finish, custom designed Italian glass tile, chandeliers and pendants and Toto's "do everything under the sun" electronic toilet with remote.
