Modern, Colorful, & Comfortable S Interior Design was asked to create an entertainment space that would remind one of an upscale lounge in trendy boutique hotel. The home owner, a single man, had already installed a projection screen that enabled a 20' viewing surface, but nothing else was in the room but hand me down furnishings. All of the furnishings from the dry bar, high top seating area, upholstered seating and window coverings were designed specifically for the room's purpose. A once used office was turned into Kevin and Jessica’s stylish dry bar. This area was being used as a storage room and they wanted to entertain in style. A connoisseur of beverages, Kevin wanted to spotlight several of his prized bottles as conversation starters. We started out by doing a desired analysis. They wanted the room to feel comfortable and less formal. A place that they could walk into and feel relaxed. The cabinets chosen were a shaker style and the color called Denim. Truly a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The custom header at the top completes the install by allowing our craftsman to highlight the beauty of the wood. We installed two natural stained shelves to compliment the blue and the brass finished sconce lighting. The exposed bulbed fixtures elevates the pub experience. The backsplash is called Cassettone from the Tile Shop, which pairs nicely with the Montenegro Quartz Countertop from Arizona Tile. As a team, we enjoyed working with Kevin & Jessica from the beginning to completing the project. We are happy that they are highly pleased with the outcome.

This resort-like home features three stunning bedrooms, a luxurious master bath with a freestanding tub, a spacious kitchen, a stylish formal living room, a cozy family living room, and an elegant home bar. We chose a neutral palette throughout the home to amplify the bright, airy appeal of the home. The bedrooms are all about elegance and comfort, with soft furnishings and beautiful accessories. We added a grey accent wall with geometric details in the bar area to create a sleek, stylish look. The attractive backsplash creates an interesting focal point in the kitchen area and beautifully complements the gorgeous countertops. Home bars come in all shapes and sizes, and with an array of practicalities. Utilise an awkward corner with a cabinet bar; maximise floor space with a trunk bar, which unfolds to create a bar counter; or conveniently turn any space in your house into a bar room with a mobile bar such as a fun bar cart. If you prefer a more grandiose option, or all the amenities of a real bar, you can’t go past a built-in modern home bar.

What home bar functionalities do you want to include?

Decide how you will use the bar and whether you will need sinks, storage and refrigeration.
