This open concept home combines the kitchen, dining and living room in one area. The large space is well lit with large windows and a WinDor folding door. The polished concrete floors give the home an industrial feel.

A reverse accent on the backsplash. The blue Lisboa patchwork hex tile highlights the backsplash. By spacing it out with solid white as an accent, it creates a visual resting spot from the intricate pattern.

This custom mountain modern home in north Asheville is a unique interpretation of mountain modern architecture with a Japanese influence. Spectacular views of the Blue Ridge mountains and downtown Asheville are enjoyed from many rooms. Thoughtful attention was given to materials, color selection and landscaping to ensure the home seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings. The home showcases custom millwork, cabinetry, and furnishings by Asheville artists and craftsmen.

Ground floor extension of an end-of-1970s property.
Making the most of an open-plan space with fitted furniture that allows more than one option to accommodate guests when entertaining. The new rear addition has allowed us to create a clean and bright space, as well as to optimize the space flow for what originally were dark and cramped ground floor spaces.

From an old, weathered mini bar to a fabulous, luxurious kitchen. Custom cabinets with a contrast that works masterfully with quartz countertops and a mother of pearly, thasos, waterjet backsplash

The kitchen has a pale pink nougat-like terrazzo benchtop, paired with a blonde/pink Vic Ash timber joinery to make for an appetising space for cooking.

The bivouac theme comes to life in unexpected details throughout. The entrances are designed to feel like you’re walking through a crack in a rock. The inside and outside marry together in an oustanding way.

A small enclosed kitchen is very common in many homes such as the home that we remodeled here.
Opening a wall to allow natural light to penetrate the space is a must. When budget is important the solution can be as you see in this project - the wall was opened and removed but a structural post remained and it was incorporated in the design.
The blue modern flat paneled cabinets was a perfect choice to contras the very familiar gray scale color scheme but it’s still compliments it since blue is in the correct cold color spectrum.
Notice the great black windows and the fantastic awning window facing the pool. The awning window is great to be able to serve the exterior sitting area near the pool.
Opening the wall also allowed us to compliment the kitchen with a nice bar/island sitting area without having an actual island in the space.
The best part of this kitchen is the large built-in pantry wall with a tall wine fridge and a lovely coffee area that we built in the sitting area made the kitchen expend into the breakfast nook and doubled the area that is now considered to be the kitchen.
