New kitchen in historic home

This kitchen is located in a home in a historic district. Our goal was to design a new modern kitchen that would blend seamlessly with the adjoining rooms. We designed two custom cabinets to flank the new arched window and gave them the characteristics of details that would have been found on cabinetry that is true to the period. The glass mosaic wall is a modern twist on the traditional subway tile that might have been used.
