Norrod Remodel

The remodel for this house was extensive inside and out. Here the living room shows off the new lighting, fireplace and flanking built-in cabinets next to the original 2-story wall of windows facing a gorgeous view. With the help of structural engineer Ron Koenig, I designed outboard steel "fins" to bolster this exterior wall to keep it upright and stout. The original redwood ceiling - an inverted pyramid of sorts - was one item that the remodel left alone. Photo taken by Peter Tata.
